So I finished Bayonetta 2 and it was awesome!
I can explain myself for once for this piece. So in Bayo 2, when Jeanne is knocked from her body, she yells, "This is not how things end!" So, how are things supposed to end? Together. Their end would come at the same time; there's no way Bayo is letting Jeanne wander Inferno alone again.
What happened to them, you ask? Well, that's up to you guys.

judging from the discription it it my headcanon that jeanne and bayonetta suffered wounds that their enhanced durabilty and natural healing factor couldn't repair the damage fast enough to be in a state that they could survive so they lay together knowing that their dying and have accepted their fate so they die in peace. but the gods of paradiso took pity on the last two umbra witches in all existence so the gods broke a deal with madame butterfly to let their souls go to paradiso and spend all eternity with each other.
