You know... I type in "Lovecraftian" and it mostly brings up very relevant things...
But why is Slenderman relevant as well? It's stupid and has nothing to do with Lovecraft at all :/
Though I'll admit, he WAS good at first till they made that dumbass Slender game, now I'm surprised game and movie companies haven't tried to market the shit out of him any further to the point where he's a joke.
But did he have anything to do with anything lovecraft related at all? No. No he doesn't.
But that's just my opinion :3

How is he based on Lovecraftian works? Victor Surge, his creator, was heavily influenced by the works of Lovecraft which undoubtedly lead to his inspiration. A malevolent entity of unknown origin and motivations set loose on the world? Sounds Lovecraftian to me.

before he became a meme, he was a truly powerful invention. Most of what slenderman once was is now gone thanks to the game slender and the ignorance that followed shortly after. Hate to sound hipster, but he was brilliant before the internet threw him into the spotlight.
