Description This weeks chow, great brief, but I was pushed for time. I must learn to let things go and call them finished even if I'm not too happy with the result.

Thank you very much.

I'm afraid not, my job keeps me quite busy so my free time is spent working on my own projects.

Brilliant, I love it.

It reminds me of Dot Matrix from 'Spaceballs'.

I think C-3PO just gained a whole new interest in contortionists: [link]

But in all seriousness, I was so carried away by the beauty of metallics here that at first I didn't even realize what exactly she was doing! I think you've really created something unique here, I just can't stop studying all the details. How can you possibly be unhappy about this work is beyond me, maybe because artists are generally known for being more critical of their own work? I think it look great though!

It seems her torso is composed of separate solid pieces for the hips and chest that are connected somehow to allow her to mimic contortionists so well. Though the actual mechanism is hidden beneath the clothes, it still looks very believable overall and you can sort of imagine what it's like. I can totally see some genius mechanic who intentially customized the gears in a regular robot's "spine" to push the limits and create something completely different for everyones enjoyment Plus her face is beautifully crafted for a full metal robot. I bet she's a very popular model in her universe!

I am happy with her pose and the metallics just not the picture as a whole. I was rushed to finish it in time and just slapped her into a background and cropped off her hand. Didn't even have time to paint a stand for her.

I could go back and do it now but if I went back to correct every pic I would never stop. So I shall leave her finished as she is. *nod*

Thanks!

I saw yours in the finals thread, thought she looked really nice. didn't vote this time, but plz don't take it personally, i usually limit myself to my top 2-3..

I really love the way you did her face, its extremely eye catching..

My one crit is that the image feels very off balance, (i know, she's balancing ) mainly due to the fact that we can't see the rest of her arm, and what she's resting on., otherwise pretty solid, well thought out

I'm kittykaida over there by the way, nice to meet'cha

omg how dare you not vote for me!!!111!!

Just kidding.

I wouldn't have voted for me either. I was really pushed for time on this one but I wanted to finish rendering the metal as a personal accomplishment. I succeeded but didn't have time to do much else other than throw her into a background and crop it.

Thanks anyway! Nice ta meet'cha too!
