Apophysis 2.x single flame - no postworkBorder in PS6
This one appealed to me because of the differences in detail, colours, shapes and patterns and depth...
This is rarely achieved without the use of layers and postwork, which i don't bother doing in 90% of my work.
My goal is to get the most detail and vivid images out of apophysis without resorting to postwork which is a challenge (as most people who use the software can vouch for.)

Wow, what a great flame. The colors are very complex, but very complimentary to each other. The texturing is a very good aspect of the image and the result is stunning.
An interesting description as well and I must say that I agree. Although I use Photoshop (Photoshop 6 as well) for level/contrast and re-sizing work, I rarely make a double flame, or anything like that. Its an interesting viewpoint that I could agree by as well.
