Lee shifted slightly at Ember's weight, looking down at her in concern. She was way too thin.. tomorrow they'd have to go eat some more to get her weight back to the right amount.. He winced slightly when he tried to inhale deeply, looking at the bandages covering his chest. Dr. F said he was lucky that Ember pulled him back just in time to only get a scar. Else he'd never have been able to see out of that forest..
"I'm sorry.."
Lee perked his ears at the mumble, looking back to Ember who was looking at his bandaging in guilt. "Why?"
"I... It's all my fault.." She mumbled, moving her head down to rest it on Lee's leg. "I shouldn't have ran... That monster wouldn't have hurt you.." Lee frowned, blinking as her magic gland started glowing red. He felt... warm.... a cozy warmth.... kind of a comforting..
"I'm sorry for what I said..." "You don't have to be."
"I'm sorry for running.." "... sorry I couldn't help you..."
"I'm sorry you got hurt by a spite.." "..... You couldn't have controlled that.."
Ember sighed, closing her eyes as the warmth increased. Lee looked at her before humming hopefully.
"We'll make everything better..."
