Tony winced as the plants' juices seeped onto his black eye, glancing up at Lee's concerned expression. "S-Sorry.. I've barely started learning..." His dad mumbled, pressing the plants closer to make sure the healing really worked. "If I learn this magic I-I can heal every scrape you get.." He chuckled, Tony smiling back as a response.

Try to ignore the flicker of fear in his eyes.

Lee looked away from Tony as the door opened to Ember walking in, the red gro observing them for a moment before shutting the door and walking further inside. Tony's gaze shifted to the floor, tensing as Ember seemed to slowly make her way to her bed. There was a weird feeling in the air... He didn't like it all.

Try to ignore the piercing eyes on your back.

The healing took not much longer than he had thought, Lee removing the plants from his face and smiling warmly at Tony. "There you go.. No more bruise, don't be afraid to tell me if you get hurt again, alright?" Tony nodded, a brief feeling of warmth appearing in his chest as he watched his dad get up and leave the room with a gentle 'goodnight'.
The warmth disappeared as he looked at Ember, pulling herself onto her bed easily and avoiding his gaze. She seemed... more grumpy.. Did something happen to her? What if something was wrong and she couldn't tell Lee?
"Embth? Is something wrong?.."
She twitched an ear but continued to ignore him. "You can tell me if there ith!! I won't tell anybody.." She turned her head and a sharp glare was on her face, directed to him entirely.

Try to ignore the sad twinge in your heart.

His claws clutched his pillow, pulling it close as Ember moved to face him better. "You want to know what's wrong? What my problem is?" Tony nodded, slightly confused at the flat tone Ember gave him. What emotions were those again?
"It's you." She growled lowly at him, ears flattening as he stiffened. Oh... She... She never got... This mad at him before.. "U-um... Wh-Why? What did I do..??" He questioned softly, deciding against his usual loud tone. Something told him it would be.. bad to use it.
"You came into our lives. Our parents decided to have you, purely on accident. You can hurt Lee." She growled the last part a little louder, her spines raising slightly as she became more and more agitated. Tony flinched slightly at the sight, holding his pillow closer.
He didn't relax when she turned away from him to glower at the wall.

Ignore the fear in your chest.

"I-I wouldn't hurt p-pa..." He protested weakly, his breath hitching slightly as he spoke. "You will. I said I wouldn't and now he has a scar on his chest, nightmares chasing him each time he relaxes enough." Ember grumbled, her threatening demeanor faltering slightly. She got over it quickly, lashing her tail as she glared harder at the wall.
"Family's important to me Tony. If you hurt mine, I'll make sure you never see this place again."
Tony didn't respond, feeling his vision starting to blur.
