CrystalPhoenixBlader here. once again bring in another chapter to the fanfic! Heh, I’ve ended the first Song Space event, by request of TheWoldBunny, to end up beginning the Dance Space right off the bat! Not only that, but the Dance event is between Iori and Yoshi! Let’s see how this turns out!
Oh yeah, disclaimer time once again: I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. In addition the characters “Reiji Arisu” and “Xiaomu” belong to Namco Bandai and Monolift Soft. Also, the character “Boshi” belongs to Nintendo and Square Enix. So with that out of the way, let’s return to the merry action!

Chapter 58
Iori vs. Yoshi! The Dance Battle between Friends! The News of the Kidnapping!
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Floral Field Forest*
*Insert Theme: “Training Course” (Yoshi’s Island)*
He knew this was going to happen sooner or later...
From the moment Yoshi saw Iori’s dance attempt back at the Guffawha Ruins at the Beanbean Kingdom, although it ended in disaster thanks to the klutzy carelessness of the Koopa Bros. the green dinosaur knew that not only would Iori be given a second chance, but then she would be facing HIM.
“Yoshi, you want to face me in a Dance Battle?”
These very words the rich girl of 765 Pro said was enough to tell Yoshi that the pain from back in the ruins, as well as her uncertainty, had completely subsided as Yoshi now stared at the now confident tsundere. So how else was he to react but to accept her challenge as a friend?
“You bet! That’s what friends are for, right?”
These words Yoshi said in response echoed in his mind while he and Iori ready themselves as they walk to the floral themed Dance Stage that appeared, each having a song in mind to dance to. Within moments, the two friends each prepared their own song, although Yoshi, hoping to spice his song a little, reached for a baseball cap with his name on it and a pair of black sunglasses, of a different style than Boshi, who deadpanned at the look. “Show off!” Within moments, the Dance Battle began!

*Insert 765 Pro Dance Theme: “Futari wa Kikou" (Iori) (The iDOLMASTER)*
Iori was already in the beat of her theme as her graceful dancing, tempered from being in Ryuuguu Komachi with Ami and Azusa had made her more than ready. Add to the fact that she wanted to redeem herself in the last Dance Event she was in at the very first part of the Dimension Comet Party back at the Guffawha Ruins steeled her resolve to end with a victory. And fortunately for her, none of Bowser’s troops, for some odd reason, seem to be nearby. ‘Course they would have a harder time than usual with Reiji and Xiaomu watching the area like hawks, concerning what happened in Blargg’s Boiler. Yayoi watched her best friend give her all, although it seems now that something may be troubling her..
Of course, Yoshi, despite being Iori’s good friend and guide, was not going to make things easy for her. But then again, why would she want the battle to be easy in the first place?
*End Theme, Insert Team Mario Theme: “Yo-Yo-YoshI!” (Yoshi’s Story)*
Going into a rapping mood, Yoshi turned his hat backwards as he grabbed his mike and performed some street dancing to the beat of his tune, complete with advanced breakdances and movements of a skilled rapper in America without any hesitation. All of these skills were excellent in showing the green dinosaur’s dexterity and flexibility from travelling with Mario since he and Luigi rescued him from an egg at Dinosaur Land all these couple years back.
Iori and Yoshi were not holding back as they stepped up their game, performing masterful dancing in front of the entire group, even baffling Boshi as his jaw was on broken rusty hinges, having a hunch that his own rival DID improve his agility since the time he faced him at Yo’Ster Isle, if mainly more for dancing than racing...
“WHAT?! Since.. since when can Yoshi dance this good?? I had just gotten to be the best once at the island... only for Yoshi to outshine me again?! And not only that...” Boshi stood wided at Yoshi before turning his attention to Iori. “Little Miss Prissy Pants isn’t holding back to her... it’s like they wish to test their skills against each other... just what was I missing?”

Iori was sweating a bit as she eyed Yoshi. “Whew.... I never thought a super Idol like me would be evenly matched against Yoshi!! But then again, I guess the same could be said about him about me, seeing as he is proving to be one dynamic dinosaur.. I guess I’d better step things up! He certainly is way more quick witted compared to that baka Producer! ...One thing’s for certain... it is different than back at the ruins, seeing as that silent zebra man and that baka she-fox are keeping guard. Gotta give Kotori credit for calling these guys...” Iori sweated with a confident grin, seeing a worthy rival in Yoshi and noting Xiaomu, who is noisily cheering for her and Yoshi, and Reiji, who just stood like a statue watching the action with his usual stoic stare.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy watch with delight as they watched their brave dinosaur friend pick up his pace to the beat of his theme. Wario and Waluigi, on the other hand, had no interest as they turned the other way to chew some Garlic Mushroom Pizza like they were on a nice picnic, which clearly annoyed Chihaya.
“What are you two doing?! Seriously...” The blue songstress shouted at the miscreant duo, startling them and making them choke on the pizza a bit.
“Gahh....ptooey.... geez, whaddaya want, Blue Bird?” Wario groaned, as he sputtered his food as he tried to get his breath back. Waluigi began to leer at the blue songstress, to which she took no mind to.
“Why aren’t either of you two watching the dance? I have a strange feeling that sooner or later you two might end up in one in the future! ..Especially you with your stomach, Wario-san!” Chihaya pointed out that fact, knowing for certain that these two meddlesome moron will end up ina Dance Battle one of these days in the party... and accidentally pointing out Wario’s flab, to which he took a bit of an offense.
“What?! Shut up! Some people said I look good with my physique! And most of it is pure muscle in its finest form!” Wario angrily argued, while Waluigi, looking for a chance to join in, put down what remained of his pizza, and began to sneer at the songstress. “Heh, it’s not like you have better chances, flatty!”
*End Theme with Wheel Skid and Car Crash sounds*
“What... did you just say?” Chihaya turned to a dark tone as scary as Ritsuko’s when she’s been placed in a bad mood, enough for Wario to recall something from his encounter with Captain Syrup at Isle Delfino..
*FLASHBACK*
*Isle Delfino ~ Delfino Plaza*
*Insert Theme: “Delfino Plaza” (Super Mario Sunshine)*
Mona and Captain Syrup were arguing while Chihaya caught sight of their bust sizes, enough for the songstress to get jealous. The pirate captain of the “Sweet Stuff” looked at the songstress with a smug expression with her thought, which quickly got Wario’s attention as he had decided first hand to keep an eye on his greedy rival.
“Wha... Miss Blue Bird’s been staring at Syrup and Mona for some time but I don’t think it’s at all connected to the treasure. Maybe Ribbons could help explain...” Wario thought with his gloved hand on his chin before turning to Haruka and asking. “Hey, Ribbons! Why’s Miss Blue Bird staring at Mona and Syrup like that?”
“Well, Wario-san, Chihaya’s always had a bit of an.. inferiority complex...” Haruka sighed, confusing the tub of lard, but when he looked at Chihaya and then at Mona and Syrup did the tub of lard get the message. “Yeah, now that I know... I’d better shut my yap now before she hears! I get enough anger points from Glasses already!” Wario made the wise decision to stop with the subject, enough for Haruka to smile with respect, only for the two to change their attention quickly when Ai landed on the Dance Space...

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Floral Field Forest*
Wario realized what was going to happen next as he wisely stepped back, concerning himself on the very topic Chihaya was very greatly sensitive to. Waluigi, on the other hand, made things worse when he snorted at her. “I said it’s not like you better chances, flatty!”
“Why you....” Chihaya became so upset that she charged at Waluigi and whacked his face with an ice hard punch that sent him flying into a tree with enough force from the impact to crack it and send it falling on the long limbed miscreant, crushing into his own flat form different to Wario.
*SPLAT!*
*Insert theme: “Overworld (Dizzy)” (Yoshi’s Island)* (Touch Fuzzy, get Dizzy, y’all! Though Fuzzy did not show up...)
“Should’ve watched what you said...” Wario muttered as he heeded what he heard Haruka say and kept his yap shut. Waluigi managed to squeeze himself out as Chihaya huffed and turned her attention back to the dance. However, now the purple troublemaker is a flat as a pancake as he waddled toward his cohort. “WARIO!!”
“Hey, as tough as I am, there are some things better left alone. I’ll just stick to treasure than poke my nose in a girl’s private moments. At least that hot spring mishap taught me something...” Wario shrugged. Waluigi, in the form of Flat Waluigi, waddled around until he fell into the water and gurgled until his body reformed and he frantically swam to the surface.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Beyond the Sunlit Trees” (Tales of Graces)*
Iori and Yoshi, looking pretty worn out but still itching to go, continued their dances until both their songs came to an end, to which they both had a tie!
“We.. tied?” The contestants stare at the results panel with blank expressions on their faces as they looked at each other.
“Awesome! The Dance Event ended in a draw!” Toadette smiled happily as Iori and Yoshi continued to look at each other. Birdo joined in as she applauded the two dancers. “That was splendid, Iori! And you, too, Yoshi!”
“Aw, shucks...” Iori’s face turned a gentle pink as she blushed and smiled from the kind compliments from Toadette and Birdo. Yoshi happily put his hand on the tsundere’s shoulder with his own comment. “Hahaha... It's like we were in sync with each other or sumthin'!” Iori looked and the brave dinosaur friend and gave a cute giggle. “Well, what did anyone expect from a super Idol like myself and a super brave dino like you?”
Boshi bit his finger, looking jealous of his talented rival as began to think in disgust with himself. “I can't believe Yoshi pulled that off with every move in that smooth groove. I need to beat my top beat somehow when this is over.” With that thought in mind, he continued to look at Yoshi, who was pretty much laughing with Iori.

“Wff wff!” The muffled barks of Poochy came close, enough to frighten Yukiho as she frantically hid behind Iori and Yoshi. “Kya!”
“Oh! There's Poochy!” Moyoshi responded as Poochy ran straight to the Yoshi mom with worry in its eyes.
“Where has that stupid mutt been?” Boshi started but then Moyoshi clonked his head with a frying pan.
*CLONG* “Yow!”
“Poochy ain't stupid!” Moyoshi defended the canine’s case as she firmly gripped her pan. Hibiki looked at the dog and noticed something. “Oh! Poochy-kun's got something in his mouth!”
Without hesitation, Poochy, still bearing its worrisome face, ran to Producer-san and quietly whined as it handed over the one thing very important as news to what it witnessed to the man. Producer-san gasped as he looked at what he held, slightly covered in dog saliva.
“Hey, that's...” Haruka started as she looked at the item in particular, to which Producer san froze in shock at what he saw. “Kotori-san’s Hairband!”
“Wuff! Wu-wuff wa-wuff! Wuff wuff! Wawawawawuff!” Poochy frantically barked, trying to communicate to the group... and unintentionally scaring Yukiho as she cowered behind Yoshi and Iori, begging for this bad dream to end. “P-P-P-Please, stop b-b-b-barking...”
“Poochy's trying to communicate. He wants to tell us something.” The light blue vteran Yoshi hinted out, to which Takane sadly shrugged. “Too bad I can't understand dog-talk.”
“But I can.” Benjamin smirked, which quickly got everyone’s attention, as Hibiki was the first to point out. “Ehhh?! You can, Benjamin-san?”
*Insert Theme: “Shattered Past” (Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil)*
"I got some things called Omniaudientas and Omnitounge. Omniaudientas simply allows one to hear every language tranlated into their own understanding language, while Omnitounge allows one to speak their own language as others hear their own language from the speaker's mouth. Allow me to translate what Poochy is saying for you.” Benjamin proclaimed as he beat on his chest to prove his reliability. However, the very concept confused Ritsuko even more, as well as Reiji, who became if such an ability... or Benjamin in the matter... even exists in the first place.
“Oh, great...” Ritsuko thought in disdain as she looked at Reiji, who scratched his head as he pondered the idea of Benjamin’s abilities. “This guy keeps getting weirder and interesting by the moment.”
“Please continue." Benjamin offered, to which Poochy barked what it was trying to say on what it witnessed.. only for the interdimensional being’s expressions to turn grim after hearing what he heard.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Shroobian Mischief” (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time)*
“... Well? What is the dog trying to say?” Ritsuko walked to Benjamin with a straightforward question to the being. Chihaya, looking fraught with worry, joined in the conversation. “Is Kotori-san okay?” Moyoshi also joined in, concerned for Chief Yoshi. “Has Poochy seen my husband?”
Benjamin, unable to avert himself from the truth he heard from the worried canine, turned to the three with a serious expression on his Yoshi face. “... ... ...I'm afraid to be honest to tell what I translated, but... Poochy went to the lake and witnessed Kotori and Chief Yoshi get kidnapped."”
*GASP!!!*
“DARLING! Ohhhhh...!” Moyoshi yelped in fear before falling onto the arms of the red and blue veterans and fainting, quickly getting Iori and Yoshi’s attention.
(Yoshi) “MOM!”
(Iori) “M-Moyoshi-sama!”
As Iori looked in worry of the passed out Yoshi mother, Yoshi himself began to worry as well. “... Oh, Dad's in really big trouble...!”
“You can say that again!” Xiaomu began to look a little riled up over knowing that Chief Yoshi and Kotori have been kidnapped. Reiji, however, kept a calm approach, as pondered one fact. “But the kidnapping must be well strategized to capture a hero of his kind.”
"It's simple. That the trip to the Blargg's Boiler was also a distraction." Benjamin pointed out to Reiji, who agreed with a nod that the distraction is a possibility of a good distraction. Producer-san also thought on the possibility for a moment. “A distraction... Kammy Koopa!” The Idols gasp at what their producer had said.
“Yes. I'll bet you dollars to yen and coins that Kammy was actually helping the kidnapper, the one who hated Chief Yoshi and his friends the most, Kamek." Benjamin concluded the hypothesis as to who commited the kidnapping and why, which got everyone to stare at the being again, mostly the Yoshis in particular.
“You're telling us that Kamek is the one that captured the chief?” The red Yoshi veteran stood dumbstruck of the news, to which his blue Yoshi pal nodded while crossing his arms. “That DOES maketoo much sense. Kamek's always hated our guts.”
“And we hate his! Where'd they go to?!” The yellow veteran glared before asking the cyan Yoshi, to which he gave a simple answer. "The island's Volcanic Region."
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “GB -1 Central Core” (Mii Force)*
Regaining consciousness, Moyoshi understood Benjamin’s explanation and gave her two cents. “I see... they took them to the castle ruins where Bowser use to live as a baby. Thankfully the region is dormant, so we may have an easy trek there.”
“That sound's-a good, lava's-a neva fun!” Mario agreed with Moyoshi, recalling all the experiences with lava that he had, with Peach agreeing as well. “Hear, hear!” Luigi, however had a second thought, based on past experience with the Koopa King, although not as experienced as Mario. “Bowsa may already know we're-a going to the castle. It will be tightly secured and-a guarded.”
“Well, now that we have a destination in mind...” Ritsuko started as she crossed her arms, to which Producer-san gave his answer. “Let's make a plan to formulate to counter what may come our way.” Realizing that what the man said was what she was exactly thinking would be the best choice of action, the bespectacled Idol/producer looked at Producer-san and smiled with a wink. “Exactly.”
“Who needs a plan when I have these babies?” Wario snarked while flexing his arms, however that hasty “plan” of the greedy treasure hunter got quickly shot down as Reiji conked Wario in the head with his gloved hand. “A plan is always needed in a mission, Wario. Our rescue in the Blarrg's Boiler was completely blind.” Wario reeled a bit, muttering on how the Shinra agent was such a killjoy.
“We knew how that turned out, with Kammy knowing about the nesting grounds and all.” Yoshi scratched his head on how the matriarch knew that much due to her own son. Mario looked at his dino buddy with a smile on his face. “Well, it went okay. And dere's only five turns for you to come up with a plan.”
“Then let's keep this party going to the end!” Haruka, happy with how much time is needed to form, shouted out with a cheer, to which everyone in the group joined in. “YEAH!”
As the group prepared for their advancement to Bowser’s base in the island, Takane decided to take a moment to make a comment to Benjamin. "I'm amazed you translated Poochy-tan's barks so well, Benjamin-san.”
"It sounded serious; I never had any thoughts of pulling out a 'Timmy's stuck in the well' quote. There wasn't any time for that!" Benjamin spoke in a serious tone, which was enough for the Silver Queen to think for a moment as her gaze turned to the mountainous area in the island.

Meanwhile, at Bowser’s rebuilt castle...
*Bowser’s Rebuilt Castle ~ Bowser’s Old Bedroom*
*Insert Theme: “Castle and Fortress” (Yoshi’s Island)*
Bowser was quietly looking around the remnants of his old bedroom feeling a strong wave of nostalgia as she began to think of years gone by. The room, like the rest of the castle before the Koopa King returned, had seen better days as piles of dust, debris, and mold had settled in the area. The Koopa King sighed as he sat down for a moment.
“Lord Bowser, sir?” A yellow Shy appeared from the door, to which the quiet king turned to him. “..You need something, minion?”
“I found this while I was rummaging through another room.” The yellow Shy Guy answered as he held out a small toy. When Bowser received it, tears of joys came into his eyes. “Oh, hey, it's my old Koopa Krusader action figure! I missed you, old friend! You must've been lying beneath all this old rubble for a looooong time... Bwahahaha... I used to watch his cartoon show on Saturday Mornings when I was a tyke.”
“Glad to see His Majesty is happy of my find! You're... holding on to that, are you?” The Shy Guy smiled before he noticed that the Koopa King has decided to hold on to the toy for a good reason. The Koopa KIing then happily gave his reason without a second thought. “Why, of course, I am! I think I'll give it to Junior when we get home.” Without hesitation the Shy Guy began to leave... but stopped short as he spoke. “I... I've been listening in... Sire, about this... Kotori woman Lord Kamek captured.”
“Eavesdropping, we're you?” Bowser looked at the masked minion, to which the minion himself decided to give an extra report, free of charge. “Apparently her interrogation is going flawlessly well, Sire. Despite her overwhelmed fear... ...You might not believe me when I say this, but I overheard she's an 765 Ex-idol.”
Bowser’s suspicious face turned to one of gleeful shock when he heard the news. “Muh?! I did not know this! To have a former Idol from 765 Pro in my childhood home without knowing is quite the surprise! I hope to take her home with me after me and Kamek make the old fossil extinct.” The yellow Shy Guy smiled, but then realized all of the past kidnappings, which ended in failure, as he gave one last question. “What if the Idols and the others are on the way already?”
Ever the optimist, Bowser turned to the Shy Guy’s masked face and responded in a calm tone. “They may already know I have them, minion. And the Chief's friends may know the location of this castle and are taking them here as we speak. But surely Mario and those lizard bunkos aren't aware of the next surprises I got in store.” With that thought in mind, Bowser walked out of the room and through the hallway, with his old toy calmly clutched in his hand....

Oh boy, Bowser must really have something in mind if he is confident despite the fact that Mario, the Yoshi clan, and the Idols are heading directly to his base! Just WHAT does he have in store for our heroes? And will Chief Yoshi and Kotori be rescued in time? Find out next time!

Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy watch with delight as they watched their brave dinosaur friend pick up his pace to the beat of his theme. Wario and Waluigi, on the other hand, had no interest as they turned the other way to chew some Garlic Mushroom Pizza like they were on a nice picnic, which clearly annoyed Chihaya.
“What are you two doing?! Seriously...” The blue songstress shouted at the miscreant duo, startling them and making them choke on the pizza a bit.
“Gahh....ptooey.... geez, whaddaya want, Blue Bird?” Wario groaned, as he sputtered his food as he tried to get his breath back. Waluigi began to leer at the blue songstress, to which she took no mind to.
“Why aren’t either of you two watching the dance? I have a strange feeling that sooner or later you two might end up in one in the future! ..Especially you with your stomach, Wario-san!” Chihaya pointed out that fact, knowing for certain that these two meddlesome moron will end up ina Dance Battle one of these days in the party... and accidentally pointing out Wario’s flab, to which he took a bit of an offense.
“What?! Shut up! Some people said I look good with my physique! And most of it is pure muscle in its finest form!” Wario angrily argued, while Waluigi, looking for a chance to join in, put down what remained of his pizza, and began to sneer at the songstress. “Heh, it’s not like you have better chances, flatty!”

“What... did you just say?” Chihaya turned to a dark tone as scary as Ritsuko’s when she’s been placed in a bad mood, enough for Wario to recall something from his encounter with Captain Syrup at Isle Delfino..

*Insert Theme: “Delfino Plaza” (Super Mario Sunshine)*
Mona and Captain Syrup were arguing while Chihaya caught sight of their bust sizes, enough for the songstress to get jealous. The pirate captain of the “Sweet Stuff” looked at the songstress with a smug expression with her thought, which quickly got Wario’s attention as he had decided first hand to keep an eye on his greedy rival.
“Wha... Miss Blue Bird’s been staring at Syrup and Mona for some time but I don’t think it’s at all connected to the treasure. Maybe Ribbons could help explain...” Wario thought with his gloved hand on his chin before turning to Haruka and asking. “Hey, Ribbons! Why’s Miss Blue Bird staring at Mona and Syrup like that?”
“Well, Wario-san, Chihaya’s always had a bit of an.. inferiority complex...” Haruka sighed, confusing the tub of lard, but when he looked at Chihaya and then at Mona and Syrup did the tub of lard get the message. “Yeah, now that I know... I’d better shut my yap now before she hears! I get enough anger points from Glasses already!” Wario made the wise decision to stop with the subject, enough for Haruka to smile with respect, only for the two to change their attention quickly when Ai landed on the Dance Space...

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Floral Field Forest*
Wario realized what was going to happen next as he wisely stepped back, concerning himself on the very topic Chihaya was very greatly sensitive to. Waluigi, on the other hand, made things worse when he snorted at her. “I said it’s not like you better chances, flatty!”
“Why you....” Chihaya became so upset that she charged at Waluigi and whacked his face with an ice hard punch that sent him flying into a tree with enough force from the impact to crack it and send it falling on the long limbed miscreant, crushing into his own flat form different to Wario.
*SPLAT!*
*Insert theme: “Overworld (Dizzy)” (Yoshi’s Island)* (Touch Fuzzy, get Dizzy, y’all! Though Fuzzy did not show up...)
“Should’ve watched what you said...” Wario muttered as he heeded what he heard Haruka say and kept his yap shut. Waluigi managed to squeeze himself out as Chihaya huffed and turned her attention back to the dance. However, now the purple troublemaker is a flat as a pancake as he waddled toward his cohort. “WARIO!!”
“Hey, as tough as I am, there are some things better left alone. I’ll just stick to treasure than poke my nose in a girl’s private moments. At least that hot spring mishap taught me something...” Wario shrugged. Waluigi, in the form of Flat Waluigi, waddled around until he fell into the water and gurgled until his body reformed and he frantically swam to the surface.

Iori and Yoshi, looking pretty worn out but still itching to go, continued their dances until both their songs came to an end, to which they both had a tie!
“We.. tied?” The contestants stare at the results panel with blank expressions on their faces as they looked at each other.
“Awesome! The Dance Event ended in a draw!” Toadette smiled happily as Iori and Yoshi continued to look at each other. Birdo joined in as she applauded the two dancers. “That was splendid, Iori! And you, too, Yoshi!”
“Aw, shucks...” Iori’s face turned a gentle pink as she blushed and smiled from the kind compliments from Toadette and Birdo. Yoshi happily put his hand on the tsundere’s shoulder with his own comment. “Hahaha... It's like we were in sync with each other or sumthin'!” Iori looked and the brave dinosaur friend and gave a cute giggle. “Well, what did anyone expect from a super Idol like myself and a super brave dino like you?”
Boshi bit his finger, looking jealous of his talented rival as began to think in disgust with himself. “I can't believe Yoshi pulled that off with every move in that smooth groove. I need to beat my top beat somehow when this is over.” With that thought in mind, he continued to look at Yoshi, who was pretty much laughing with Iori.

“Wff wff!” The muffled barks of Poochy came close, enough to frighten Yukiho as she frantically hid behind Iori and Yoshi. “Kya!”
“Oh! There's Poochy!” Moyoshi responded as Poochy ran straight to the Yoshi mom with worry in its eyes.
“Where has that stupid mutt been?” Boshi started but then Moyoshi clonked his head with a frying pan.
*CLONG* “Yow!”
“Poochy ain't stupid!” Moyoshi defended the canine’s case as she firmly gripped her pan. Hibiki looked at the dog and noticed something. “Oh! Poochy-kun's got something in his mouth!”
Without hesitation, Poochy, still bearing its worrisome face, ran to Producer-san and quietly whined as it handed over the one thing very important as news to what it witnessed to the man. Producer-san gasped as he looked at what he held, slightly covered in dog saliva.
“Hey, that's...” Haruka started as she looked at the item in particular, to which Producer san froze in shock at what he saw. “Kotori-san’s Hairband!”
“Wuff! Wu-wuff wa-wuff! Wuff wuff! Wawawawawuff!” Poochy frantically barked, trying to communicate to the group... and unintentionally scaring Yukiho as she cowered behind Yoshi and Iori, begging for this bad dream to end. “P-P-P-Please, stop b-b-b-barking...”
“Poochy's trying to communicate. He wants to tell us something.” The light blue vteran Yoshi hinted out, to which Takane sadly shrugged. “Too bad I can't understand dog-talk.”
“But I can.” Benjamin smirked, which quickly got everyone’s attention, as Hibiki was the first to point out. “Ehhh?! You can, Benjamin-san?”
*Insert Theme: “Shattered Past” (Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil)*
"I got some things called Omniaudientas and Omnitounge. Omniaudientas simply allows one to hear every language tranlated into their own understanding language, while Omnitounge allows one to speak their own language as others hear their own language from the speaker's mouth. Allow me to translate what Poochy is saying for you.” Benjamin proclaimed as he beat on his chest to prove his reliability. However, the very concept confused Ritsuko even more, as well as Reiji, who became if such an ability... or Benjamin in the matter... even exists in the first place.
“Oh, great...” Ritsuko thought in disdain as she looked at Reiji, who scratched his head as he pondered the idea of Benjamin’s abilities. “This guy keeps getting weirder and interesting by the moment.”
“Please continue." Benjamin offered, to which Poochy barked what it was trying to say on what it witnessed.. only for the interdimensional being’s expressions to turn grim after hearing what he heard.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Shroobian Mischief” (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time)*
“... Well? What is the dog trying to say?” Ritsuko walked to Benjamin with a straightforward question to the being. Chihaya, looking fraught with worry, joined in the conversation. “Is Kotori-san okay?” Moyoshi also joined in, concerned for Chief Yoshi. “Has Poochy seen my husband?”
Benjamin, unable to avert himself from the truth he heard from the worried canine, turned to the three with a serious expression on his Yoshi face. “... ... ...I'm afraid to be honest to tell what I translated, but... Poochy went to the lake and witnessed Kotori and Chief Yoshi get kidnapped."”
*GASP!!!*
“DARLING! Ohhhhh...!” Moyoshi yelped in fear before falling onto the arms of the red and blue veterans and fainting, quickly getting Iori and Yoshi’s attention.
(Yoshi) “MOM!”
(Iori) “M-Moyoshi-sama!”
As Iori looked in worry of the passed out Yoshi mother, Yoshi himself began to worry as well. “... Oh, Dad's in really big trouble...!”
“You can say that again!” Xiaomu began to look a little riled up over knowing that Chief Yoshi and Kotori have been kidnapped. Reiji, however, kept a calm approach, as pondered one fact. “But the kidnapping must be well strategized to capture a hero of his kind.”
"It's simple. That the trip to the Blargg's Boiler was also a distraction." Benjamin pointed out to Reiji, who agreed with a nod that the distraction is a possibility of a good distraction. Producer-san also thought on the possibility for a moment. “A distraction... Kammy Koopa!” The Idols gasp at what their producer had said.
“Yes. I'll bet you dollars to yen and coins that Kammy was actually helping the kidnapper, the one who hated Chief Yoshi and his friends the most, Kamek." Benjamin concluded the hypothesis as to who commited the kidnapping and why, which got everyone to stare at the being again, mostly the Yoshis in particular.
“You're telling us that Kamek is the one that captured the chief?” The red Yoshi veteran stood dumbstruck of the news, to which his blue Yoshi pal nodded while crossing his arms. “That DOES maketoo much sense. Kamek's always hated our guts.”
“And we hate his! Where'd they go to?!” The yellow veteran glared before asking the cyan Yoshi, to which he gave a simple answer. "The island's Volcanic Region."
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “GB -1 Central Core” (Mii Force)*
Regaining consciousness, Moyoshi understood Benjamin’s explanation and gave her two cents. “I see... they took them to the castle ruins where Bowser use to live as a baby. Thankfully the region is dormant, so we may have an easy trek there.”
“That sound's-a good, lava's-a neva fun!” Mario agreed with Moyoshi, recalling all the experiences with lava that he had, with Peach agreeing as well. “Hear, hear!” Luigi, however had a second thought, based on past experience with the Koopa King, although not as experienced as Mario. “Bowsa may already know we're-a going to the castle. It will be tightly secured and-a guarded.”
“Well, now that we have a destination in mind...” Ritsuko started as she crossed her arms, to which Producer-san gave his answer. “Let's make a plan to formulate to counter what may come our way.” Realizing that what the man said was what she was exactly thinking would be the best choice of action, the bespectacled Idol/producer looked at Producer-san and smiled with a wink. “Exactly.”
“Who needs a plan when I have these babies?” Wario snarked while flexing his arms, however that hasty “plan” of the greedy treasure hunter got quickly shot down as Reiji conked Wario in the head with his gloved hand. “A plan is always needed in a mission, Wario. Our rescue in the Blarrg's Boiler was completely blind.” Wario reeled a bit, muttering on how the Shinra agent was such a killjoy.
“We knew how that turned out, with Kammy knowing about the nesting grounds and all.” Yoshi scratched his head on how the matriarch knew that much due to her own son. Mario looked at his dino buddy with a smile on his face. “Well, it went okay. And dere's only five turns for you to come up with a plan.”
“Then let's keep this party going to the end!” Haruka, happy with how much time is needed to form, shouted out with a cheer, to which everyone in the group joined in. “YEAH!”
As the group prepared for their advancement to Bowser’s base in the island, Takane decided to take a moment to make a comment to Benjamin. "I'm amazed you translated Poochy-tan's barks so well, Benjamin-san.”
"It sounded serious; I never had any thoughts of pulling out a 'Timmy's stuck in the well' quote. There wasn't any time for that!" Benjamin spoke in a serious tone, which was enough for the Silver Queen to think for a moment as her gaze turned to the mountainous area in the island.

Meanwhile, at Bowser’s rebuilt castle...
*Bowser’s Rebuilt Castle ~ Bowser’s Old Bedroom*
*Insert Theme: “Castle and Fortress” (Yoshi’s Island)*
Bowser was quietly looking around the remnants of his old bedroom feeling a strong wave of nostalgia as she began to think of years gone by. The room, like the rest of the castle before the Koopa King returned, had seen better days as piles of dust, debris, and mold had settled in the area. The Koopa King sighed as he sat down for a moment.
“Lord Bowser, sir?” A yellow Shy appeared from the door, to which the quiet king turned to him. “..You need something, minion?”
“I found this while I was rummaging through another room.” The yellow Shy Guy answered as he held out a small toy. When Bowser received it, tears of joys came into his eyes. “Oh, hey, it's my old Koopa Krusader action figure! I missed you, old friend! You must've been lying beneath all this old rubble for a looooong time... Bwahahaha... I used to watch his cartoon show on Saturday Mornings when I was a tyke.”
“Glad to see His Majesty is happy of my find! You're... holding on to that, are you?” The Shy Guy smiled before he noticed that the Koopa King has decided to hold on to the toy for a good reason. The Koopa KIing then happily gave his reason without a second thought. “Why, of course, I am! I think I'll give it to Junior when we get home.” Without hesitation the Shy Guy began to leave... but stopped short as he spoke. “I... I've been listening in... Sire, about this... Kotori woman Lord Kamek captured.”
“Eavesdropping, we're you?” Bowser looked at the masked minion, to which the minion himself decided to give an extra report, free of charge. “Apparently her interrogation is going flawlessly well, Sire. Despite her overwhelmed fear... ...You might not believe me when I say this, but I overheard she's an 765 Ex-idol.”
Bowser’s suspicious face turned to one of gleeful shock when he heard the news. “Muh?! I did not know this! To have a former Idol from 765 Pro in my childhood home without knowing is quite the surprise! I hope to take her home with me after me and Kamek make the old fossil extinct.” The yellow Shy Guy smiled, but then realized all of the past kidnappings, which ended in failure, as he gave one last question. “What if the Idols and the others are on the way already?”
Ever the optimist, Bowser turned to the Shy Guy’s masked face and responded in a calm tone. “They may already know I have them, minion. And the Chief's friends may know the location of this castle and are taking them here as we speak. But surely Mario and those lizard bunkos aren't aware of the next surprises I got in store.” With that thought in mind, Bowser walked out of the room and through the hallway, with his old toy calmly clutched in his hand....
