Description

Brian McCallister was born into a large Irish family, and I do mean large. He is the youngest of seven sons, and his father is also the youngest of seven sons. He is the seventh son of a seventh son, who, according to Irish legend, means he is a special individual: he has the ability to heal people by touching them. Unfortunately for Brian, he also has the ability to see places he cannot physically see (clairvoyance) as well as see glimpses of the future (precognition). Being different from all the other kids did not make growing up easy for Brian. It might be one thing to hide your ability to heal people and animals from others, but dreaming about things (good or bad) then learning later on that they eventually happened, or even worse, seeing them happen in front of you, can be rather wearing on a youngster’s sanity, which in turn can make it difficult to interact with other children, especially given how cruel many children can be.

Fortunately for Brian, he managed to meet a few other individuals during high school that did not exactly fit in either, such as Storm MacCullond and Jennifer Watcolm. Storm was a genius with an aptitude for numbers, and Jennifer was taller and more muscular than most of the boys. Both of them also appeared in numerous visions of the future, ones in which Brian felt they would play an important part. Brian decided to share his secret of his abilities with them and they were, of course, not exactly willing to believe him, at least not until they started seeing a pattern of things he said coming true, or seeing his ability to heal for themselves. It took a bit of time for Brian’s friends to adjust to these revelations, but once they did, they stood by him the same as they did before.

Now having an emotional support system, Brian began planning on practicing control of his visions, hoping to be find connecting patterns as well as to be able to start estimating time frames for when they were supposed to occur. He needed to know how much time he had before his visions of catastrophe came true, and how much time he had to gather and train the people that would be involved in dealing with it.
