Description
Superior Spider-man is one of the greatest runs in comics of the last decade and with it I fell in love with Otto Octavius. Β This concept is Doc Ocks mind having escaped from his robot host post-Parker swap and has uploade himself into a synthetic body built by Parker Industries. Β Despite an initital attempt to revert to his criminal ways Otto can't shake his experience of being Spider-Man nor his love for Anne Marie Marconi so he decides to return to being a hero.Related content

Yeah, this is a remarkable coincidence that Marvel made the Superior Octopus a year after you made and posted this lovely piece of fan-art. Sadly, it seems Marvel is having Ock hook up with HYDRA, though Ock is obviously using them for his own ends, which are nothing good for Spider-Man. Kind of a shame that this redeemed/reformed version of Otto can't come into the mainstream comics and fight his "Superior" counterpart, who seems to have learned absolutely nothing from his time as Spider-Man/Peter Parker. All in all, very excellent work here.

Funnily enough I'm about a year behind on Spidey at the moment. Β Its probs a coincidence but theres loads of similarities!. guess i should feel chuffed for the power of foresight.Β

Power of foresight, yeah. And while you may be a year behind, you're not missing all that much except for Renew Your Vows, which while an alternate universe is generally hailed as the superior, no pun intended, take on Spider-Man's character.

You have a very cool idea in your hands, both agree with your thougst about Superior Spider-Man and Otto Octavius, he was one of my favorite villains a long time ago, and this design, i dig it, very well done.

Tbh I just googled octopus images and copied the first half-decent one ππππ. I didn't have the time to design a decent one.
yeah, so you nailed it with your vision comparison though I wouldn't have him nearly as powerful, just a bio-organic body that has Ghost in the Shell type inputs and a mechanical spine that hooks up to his tentacles.Β

Too much history to explain. Broadly, Doc Ock possessed Peter in the comics and set up a company called Parker Industries that Peter resumed when returning to his body. For everything else you'll have to pick up Superior Spider-Man.
