For the uninitiated,this is Woman Wonder,Bill Elder's illustrated spoof of you-know-who from MAD #10 (April 1954)....before it became a magazine,MAD started out as a comic book....and the creepy little guy in the bat-eared costume isn't supposed to be...err,what's-his-name,fights crime with the kid in the green shorts...that's her arch-enemy,NIVLEM!!!("Melvin" spelled backwards)

This HAS to be what inspired the “Dark Mite”. These were my dad’s favorites and he has the whole EC collection up until the Comics Code came along to spoil things.
