Okay,first of all,there was a MAD Special #25...it just didn't look like this...I just chose the number at random.This is a non-existent mock-up of one of those from the 1970s,where they included a reproduction of one of their issues from the mid-1950s,when they started out as a comic book.
Even in their early days,they were parodying popular movies,comic-book superheroes (I know,I know...using the Justice Society here is a bit of a stretch) and newspaper comic strips,so I wanted this cover to reflect that.
Oh,I almost forgot...the smaller image at the top right was taken from this ,which can be seen in my gallery.

At least it stamped an indelible mark on popular culture,and will live on through reprints and collected editions. Those of us who were fans of CRACKED aren't so lucky....goddamn anthrax scare.
