My take on English folklore character Spring Heeled Jack . Instead of a supernatural being or a steampunk adventurer, it’s a traveler from an unknown elsewhere with a strong curiosity for human biology and anatomy. A non-oxygen breather, the entity must wear a dome-like helmet within Earth’s atmosphere. Piston-like bionic legs let it leap great heights and outrun almost any pursuer. Its main arms end in razor-sharp, scalpel-like blades, while a secondary pair of servo arms are used for more delicate tasks and are usually folded up beneath its cloak. Spring Heeled Jack’s goal isn’t to cause pain and fear. It’s simply collecting data.

1901 - Detective Sexton Blake investigates a series of murders reminiscent of the Jack the Ripper killings. Rumors attribute the killings to English folklore character Spring Heeled Jack , but an encounter with Dr. John Seward puts Blake on the trail of a newly-resurrected Dracula . Concerned the murders would draw unwanted attention, Dracula helps Blake search for the true culprit. The pair discover the real killer is in fact Spring Heeled Jack who is far stranger than anything they could have imagined.
