Description
From a roleplay with , where, due to a lab accident, Raph turns into a tot and thinks Donnie is his dad. After finally getting the kid to sleep on the cot in the lab, Donnie makes a retromutagen to fix him, but Raph wakes up...

Raph wiggled underneath the sheet before sitting up and looking around sleepily, just in time to see Donnie approaching. He smiled up at the other, but then his eyes trailed down to the injection gun and frowned. It was making him a tad uneasy.

Donnie caught his breath and froze. Raph was awake? Already? He stole a glance at the clock. Shell, it had been a few hours...

He knew Raph hated shots. Even more so when he was little. It always struck Donnie as weird that his tough brother could tear his arm open on a rusty piece of metal and not blink an eye, but when it came to the tetanus shot that would follow, he would avoid it like the plague. He tucked the gun up against his wrist and knelt by the bed. "Hey Raph, you awake?" He asked, stalling and trying to think of a way to give him the shot without making him freak out. And he also had a feeling that it would be more than a little painful to go through the transformation. He was cursing all the fates for making Raph wake up now, of all times.

Raph nodded warily, gripping the blanket with both hands as he stared at the gun. There was a lump in his throat. Why was Donnie carrying that injection gun to him? Must he get a shot? Was he sick? Did he do something wrong and this is his punishment?

He scooted backwards slightly with a dreaded expression. "...W-Whatever I did, I didn't mean ta do it, Daddy!"

Donnie immediately clamped onto his lip, heart clenching tightly. "N-No, Raph, you didn't do anything wrong. I was, uh... You..." he sighed. "While you were asleep," he began slowly, thinking quickly. "I, uh, looked over your vitals and I saw that you're...sick." He hid the gun between both hands, fingering it in his anxiety. "It's not anything you did, Raph, I promise."

Part of him was relieved that he wasn't in trouble for anything he did, but the other part was still incredibly nervous. "I don't feel sick," He mumbled while forcing a weak smile. At that moment though, he was feeling sick from the sight of the gun. But if he could show that he was feeling fine... he wouldn't have to take the shot if he wasn't sick, right?

"I know buddy, but it's not something you feel, it's something...else...that's making you sick. And this is just to make it all better," he felt a lump rising in his throat. His resolve was failing quickly. Maybe he could just wait until Raph fell asleep again, in another few hours? But then he'd risk his family finding out. He completely ignored the thought of holding him down and just shooting him; that was completely out of the question. As was trying to talk him into it.

Something else? Raph didn't get it. And he definitely didn't like where this was going. Donnie shuffled closer and reached out a hand. "It's okay, you won't even feel a prick when I inject you. I'm really good at it," Donnie gave a halfhearted smile, reaching further for Raph's arm. "It'll be over quickly, okay? And then we can go play something. Anything you want." Raph flinched when he saw Donnie reaching over. He wanted to take his father's words for it, but he couldn't... he absolutely hated getting a shot!

"No!" He cried before quickly leaping off the cot and running to the corner of the lab, then retreated into his little shell, head and limbs hidden inside. This way, he was safe from the needle.

Alright, I know everything EXCEPT the wall is colored and textured, but I mean, it's a wall. Meh. And I know that Raphie's supposed to have a blanket too, but... It was hard enough to figure out the folds in the stupid COT (which I'm proud of), I couldn't bear to draw it with a blanket too
