Description
Myself as Summoner Yuna and my good friend Tim [TheFadingDream] as Tidus. Photo taken by Eric at Anime Expo 2006. The scenery in Anaheim was just perfect for FFX cosplay, and I tried to look appropriately miserable in this pose. XP Summoner Yuna was one of the very first costumes I ever constructed, way back in 2005, but I did make everything you see here. Tim's costume was entirely constructed by himself, as well. [AND THAT'S HIS REAL HAIR. <33 I, on the other hand, am wearing a wig. XD]Please no criticism/critiques! I'd like to keep this gallery a happy place. :3

Actually, I have a question, does she wear a bracelet? I don't remember her wearing one, but a friend of mine swears up and down she wears one. I can't seem to find any drawings or shot with one....Do you know what they're talking about?

Thank you! Yuna wears two bracelets, actually. One has metal links that are staggered, and the other consists of silver beads/pearls. I don't have any reference photos handy at the moment, but I do know that they exist and the evidence is out there... somewhere. ^__^;

This happens to be the best version of Summoner Yuna I've seen so far. Love it. Too bad the 'Tidus' in the scene cut his hair.

It totally blew Tim [the Tidus cosplayer] and I away when we saw it, too! We had no idea it would turn out half so epic, and what's funny is that we were actually really rushed taking these shots, because the convention was winding down. Thank you for the comment!

Just wondering where did you get your wig do you know?? Iv'e cosplayed as Summoner Yuna before but havent done since as the wig just failed lol and I can never seem to find the right ones >_<

Thats funny, because when I cosplayed as summoner Yuna, I met some 5-6 Tidus fellows, and one Shuyin, and they had all styled their natural hair. D: CRAZY! Is there enough hair cement in the world??

I suppose I've just never seen a Tidus go to such lengths to correctly style their hair as his. Anyone can run some styling gel through their roots and say they're Tidus or Sora. ^__^; Thank you for the comment!

This picture blows me away. The cosplays are so very accurate -- sometimes I see people really pushing it (as in, their face and body type does not fit the cosplay in the slightest), but this is perfect! O_O

Thank you. The cosplay world is a very critical and often nasty place place because so much of it depends upon a person's looks. I'm very lucky to be able to pull off the characters that I do, but it's not without a LOT of makeup or creative posing to hide any physical characteristics that don't quite match the character I'm cosplaying.

I get excited any time I see someone doing a cosplay, even if it sucks. I don't really criticize people who do things that I can't really do. That's just silly!

I'm so sorry if it sounded like I was accusing you of anything! ^__^; And I agree, I try not to criticize people, in general. The teacher in me knows that the more positive encouragement you can give a person, the more drive they will have to continue and improve upon whatever it is they are doing. Which obviously completely sidesteps the need to be critical. ^__^
