Did your chicken freak out the first time they saw your fursuit? Seems like something a chicken would do.

It's not actually my chicken. She belongs to the family who lives next door to the convention venue, and the daughter was wandering around handing the chicken to various fursuiters for photoshoots. She was an extremely chilled out chicken!

Chickens are pretty chill. One of my roosters was startled by a falling pinecone, but they're also weird and even the sight of a wild turkey didn't scare mine. You can never know what will freak out a chicken or not.

I've had several chickens and they were all weirdos. One was scared by a branch that I picked up and onther was scared by a car door opening. So, that's why I thought that maybe your chicken would be TERRIFIED by a fursuit.

It's not my chicken. But I had chickens for several years, and different chickens are scared by different things. Silkies are especially weird. Just bundles of soft warm floof that will sit on your shoulder and want to snuggle.

Aww, I've always wanted silkies.

They're like the best creatures ever. I carried most of them out for walks in the neighborhood, and my first rooster loved it. He never went far, and loved people. I even used to bring him out in the winter tucked inside a really nice warm coat, and he'd snuggle in, occasionally making sounds at me, and it was awesome. The second to last hen my mom brought home was a really mellow bird. And once I taught her to perch on my shoulder, she would stay there for entire hours long walks. They really loved the mulberries from my neighbor's tree, and my smol little hen named Sweetpea loved it when I'd bring her around the yard and hold her within pecking range of bugs on the yard foliage. She always had a nice full crop. She also purred when she was really happy.

Aww, that's super sweet!! I love it when chickens purr, it's so cute! I had a chicken named Batman and she had the most haunted but sweet sounding purr ever. She purred late at night and it scared me all the time because she purred when she saw something like a raccoon or a dog.
