So I really wanted to have a button design for Otafest and every picture I've done of the mecha red panda I've been really unhappy with, so I thought this could be my opportunity to get him right. I hope you agree! Enjoy!Related content

I love this so much; it reminds me of my mecha OC, he's a mechbow sharpshooter and has a Mecha Eagle companion.

What sort of creature is he? A red panda?

Yes and no; I fashioned him after an extinct sub-species within the same family as the Red Panda; somewhat a cross between when the Red Panda and the Giant Panda's genes differ. He only has two mechanical implant within himself though; being his head (including extending between his eye and ear, enhancing both vision and hearing.) and the second his right arm.

YOU KNOW MY THOUGHTS ON YOUR MECH/CLOCKWORK STUFF. I've commented enough on them after all. Or I think I have, it may be presumptuous. xD Loooovethem. It's got a more "cuteness" factor than a "sleek" factor like your other panda work, not to say that it isn't cool or your others weren't cute... just the way it feels. This one though seems a lot more... how do I put it... fluffy? Perhaps its the style you used to draw it... o.o <33333!

I can see that. I think its in the nature of the animal. Red pandas are just darn cute, whereas crows are sleek and cool.

Thanks! I really though hard about this one, and did a lot of tweeks along the way. For some reason 'cute' has always been hard for me to draw.

He looks fabulous. The detailing is outstanding, the colours are vivid (the red/orange goes so well with the green!), and the composition is just right for placing on a button... i think you nailed it.

Thanks so much! The only thing I realized after I printed it and buttoned it is that some of the detail is lost because its only a two inch button, but I don't think I would have changed anything anyway.
