Well, I was nodding towards Adventure Time, but one you might like is a
1970s cartoon movie called "Wizards", by Ralph Bakshi. Check it out, dude!

Ahh, the Seventies, when soundtracks could never decide how much jazz groove was appropriate.
And Ralph Bakshi! I can't believe I forgot him! Then that high-contrast film footage appeared, and I was taken back to LOTR. For a kids' movie, t'was pretty "mature" in its composition; but then I suppose that makes it all the more fun for us. 
Once I wrap up my my work over the coming week, I'll have to delve into Adventure Time.
