OH BOY, where do I even begin? I genuinely have blown my personal expectations out of the water and I'm SO HAPPY that despite the background took me few days longer than I anticipated, I am still loving the result~ All the effort was SO worth it

I also threw myself out of my comfort zone when it comes to colors and I feel like this drawing was quite a learning experience in that regard! Especially when it comes to coloring rivers

I rarely get opportunities to draw anything from a bird's perspective (or at least this high), so the second LadyMilkyway mentioned that both characters like to fly, I decided to take it Drawing wings this time around offered me a healthy challenge and I am really pleased how I did with them~ The left (our right) wing on the black character took a while to get right But it was worth fiddling around!

I was also told that the black character exists in Okami/sakura tree -alike area so... I decided to run with it, as well! I love the photos of blossoming Sakura trees so this was a wonderful chance to take as well

Overall, I am really happy with this drawing! The characters were a joy to work with I hope that the receiver likes it

I can't wait to get onto another ambitious background drawings like this >:3
