Description
this is m. he's almost 5 months old.besides being an amazing little puppy he's a cavalier king charles spaniel. a ruby. there are blenheims (white with m's colour), tri-colours, black and tans and ... rubies. m is a ruby.
haven't posted anything here and was goaded to post it by `equivoque ... hmm...
he can sit and he's learning how to lay down by command.
they're not known for being really smart but ... with a face like that does it really matter?
canon eos 1ds mark3, 70-200/2.8L, 130mm at f/2.8, 100 iso in RAW, processed with Aperture, um ... oh yeah ... beauty dish on a boom with a hensel porty studio strobe system set at the lowest 1.0 setting with an internal scrim inside the beauty dish.
no f/22 for puppies.
shouldn't there be a category for pets? i mean ... pets are huge ... 'specially dogs, right?

she has the look of cynical royalty, like its thinking, "Where is my parakeet Dinner, minions?!"
either that or she is contemplating throwing some gladiator to the lions.
not sure which one, but I know there is devilish brooding afoot behind that adorable exterior.

This is so beautiful!!! definitly my fav pic of a pet EVER. Wish I could have one like this of my very first dog, wich is now dead ofcourse. He was a pekinese with a similar look in the eyes like your M.
You truly had catch that actitude of this kind of dogs, they are smal but with a huge personality, like if they where kings (and they absolutly are).

I have a tricolor calavier king charles spaniel named Flop. He's 3 years old and still has the awkward "I've grown too much too fast and can't control my limbs" sort of quality that I find irresistible. Not the brightest dog I've ever met, but I can't help but be madly in love with him.

Very nice! And kudos on getting the thing to pose for you like that (every time I try to shoot dogs they just go crazy whenever the flashes go off and so on). Ever thought about blurring the legs on the left a bit by the way? They're drawing a bit much of the attention if you ask me.

Oh he's precious.. makes me wish I had a dog, even! I'd regret it though.
How did you get him to sit still? I find it almost impossible to photograph animals unless they're asleep, especially the small ones. My kitten seems to be afraid of cameras. Hmm.
