jeeeheezus
dont even remind me of the express train ride I took in japan where there was no room in the car or even in the isle in the car so people (including me) had to pack themselves in, standing up, for an hour and a half long train ride. and that was a ticket we paid like 170,000 yen for (like 145$) should've paid the extra to get a reserved seat
I like riding on trains though.. it presents so many better photo opportunities than driving a car, like the one that you made good work of here.

pack themselves into the space *between the cars*
missed that part.
which was the whole emphatic point.

What did you shoot this with? Exposure, shutter? I wanna start photographing people more. I'm assuming an aperature of around F3.5 and a shutter speed around 1/15? Great shot by the way

hahaha. i know a guy who had his finger in a cast like that once. except his whole hand was plastered and the same finger was the only one sticking up while the rest were closed down.

I'm starting to like the reality aspect of your photography. Everyday situations. Street rocks

I f*ckn love this shot. I've been trying to get a crowded train kinda shot for what seems like ever, but I've never been able to find an atmosphere like this. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to do some b/w work!!

That would fucking suck so bad to have that finger broke, though i would take advantage of it at times
Great composition, crowded areas i always find are very hard to get pictures in.

Must confess I was just idly browsing through the photography thumbnails when this caught my eye, but I'm glad I bumped into it.
I love the composition, framing and the overall feel to the image on this - it also works perfectly in black and white. Excellent work.

classical tri-x feel i'd say? that is to say a traditional photojournalistic feel to it... which suits it perfectly
