Its for a commission, my painting could use some work, but so far its turning out good.Can you find bigfoot?

Recently I've been trying to make backgrounds but they're not coming out right

Backgrounds can be tricky. I tend to sketch mine out and keep them as line art throughout the whole picture, this one is kinda messy and painted.
I struggled with them for the longest time and still do, but if you would like some help let me know. I am happy to share what I know.

My background sketches were never that good either. I think that as long as the characters look good the rest falls into place.

True, but once you have the creatures in front done, if the background is bad it kinda ruins the image LOL xD
