There was concept art of the Avatar from Forces depicting more Mobian races to be used before it was limited to seven, one of which was a horse! (at least I think it's a horse)  sonic.fandom.com/wiki/File:Ava… Maybe use that for inspiration?

Ah, no worries.

I love that koala design!  
Not so much the gorilla design, it's too thin. Same with the horse.
Some of them I can't tell what they are, such as the 10th and 11th ones, what are they? Monitor and salamander?

They've used a similar koala design in the Rush adventure game, some of these would really benifit from having different body shapes such as the gorilla and horse you mentioned 

my favorite would be either the deer, koala or what I think is a mole  

11 looks like a lizard but 10 is a mystery to me looks like a bird or it's really wide mouth could be a salamander.
