This is my third Legend of Zelda fan art. It was sort of weird to draw in that proportion, and I'm not liking how the head is a bit bigger than I liked. With that said, I'm still pretty happy with the picture overall. I wanted to try a more unusual pose, and I was very happy the way it turned out. I got lazy in the end so I didn't do a nice job with the background (especially the niche in the back), but I like the relief on the ground.I picked fire temple for the background only because I wanted to draw Link in his red tunic. My favorite temple is actually forest temple (the music is hypnotic). Oh, those keesees tick me off.
I really should draw more Zelda fanarts... The other stuff I have are sketches not good enough to put online.

Sorry about the slow reply, but it's only now that I'm starting to get back to dA. Thank you for the comment on the Link fanart. I've been using PS for years now so I think if you practice enough and try new things, you'll be just as good as me if not better! I'm still lousy at traditional media though. Hehe.

The detail of the Temple is exquisite. X3 The texture of the floor is just wow, and that creepy face is just icing on the cake! I personally prefer to Hookshot the little bastards. I suck with the bow.

Sorry about the slow reply, but it's been a long time since I've checked my dA..... Thank you for the comments. About the arrow and stuff, I used a sculpture as a reference for the pose, and I guess the sculpture isn't correct either. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out because I now learn something new.
Sadly I haven't seen Link SC2 or SSBM (or the TP version in action) so I'll still say red Link is the best; at least it's a departure from the green. Haha. Oh yes, hook shot is a much better way of killing those keesees....

Heehee, good to see another person who agrees with me. XD At least adult link has a metal shield so when the fire bats come, the shield isn't burned away. I want to play OoT again too. That was such a great game.

You did an amazing job on this pic, and as weird as it sounds, I love the floor. It looks fantastic! Of course, everything about the pic is great, Link namely. You drew his outfit really well and did awesome work on the colouring and shading. Lovely!

I'm glad you liked the picture. The floor was a lot of fun to draw and I'm glad someone finally noticed. XD Of course the main attraction is still Link. Hehehe. He was more fun to draw than the background, but it would have been weird if there's no context to his action.

Thanks for telline me the head size is ok. XD I'm glad to have another pair of eyes to see my work. Too many times I don't see certain things in my own work, and it's nice to get a different perspective.

I think we all need several pairs of "objective eyes" to see our work and find what we cannot see in our own piece (bad or good).
For example, for finding mistakes in what I draw sometimes I just go away for a while (perhaps a day), get back and see again what I've drawn to see its imperfections (not too efficient, but sometimes works

Hey, I do the same. What annoys me is I always find blatant mistakes AFTER I'm supposedly finished the drawing. Something about inked lines really bring out all the mistakes. Hahaha.

Heehee, maybe that's why a lot of people like the teenager version of Link from Ocarina of Time. XD Zelda series is one of my fav. I even played the first two games on NES when I was little.
