Inside The War Room At The Pentagon.......

"Gentlemen, we are on the break of war", A man said. "The mutant Populus is starting to outnumber us five to one", the man continued. "It will only be a matter of time before they amass an army large enough to overtake our government." "Only by expanding the Sentinel program can we hope to defeat..." Interrupting the man, a certain Senator asked: "But what about the mutants who risk their own lives to save and protect this and other countries?" "Do they need to be included in this 'list of evildoers' that you're claiming them to be in?" he continued. "Just what are you getting at Senator Kelly?" he asked, extremely annoyed. "What I'm getting at, 'Sir', is that the Sentinel program has been a disaster", the Senator answered. "Unwarranted attacks against mutants, and humans, extensive property damage, that incident in Ecuador, not to mention the government, and the mutants, cleaning up 'their' messes." "Your point, Mr. Kelly?" "My point is, if we give this program more money and support, not only will we get more problems like the ones mentioned, but we may be putting the people at risk too, if some really bad happens." As he conclude his argument, the staff members put it to a vote, and the odds were not in this mans favor. "So its decided then, we will.... not be provide more funding or support for the Sentinel program, I'm sorry Mr. Bastion." "No" he said, "you will be sorry." After exiting from the building, he started muttering to himself: "The fools, they know not of what the 'abominations' are capable of, of what 'I'm' capable of."

"To get what they want, people are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal." "How far they go, depends on how much, and how badly they want it." "Even if means taking out anything, or anyone who gets in their way."

Nightshock & The Breed

Prelude To The End

"I bet you're wondering who this guy is, what his agenda is, and what connection does he have with this Nightshock guy?" "Well... it began about twenty two years ago, in a small town called: Richmond, VA. It started with a boy and a girl. You know how the story goes, boy meets girl, girl meets boy, yada yada yada. But lets speed things up a little bit, say two years. Now they're married, and celebrating their second anniversary in Florida. She's carrying their first child, and is a week away from giving birth. They're in a department store shopping for clothes for the baby boy. There was a news report about the Sentinels on the tv: "the sentinels have continued their abducting of mutants and humans today, bringing the total now to 125." "This is the latest report of sentinel activity in the last week, with today's kidnaping in Indonesia." "Representatives of Indonesia's Government have denied any and all involvement in the recent kidnaping's." "The United States Government was questioned about their answer to this situation and if there they had any involvement in these unwarranted attacks, but they declined to answer." "We will bring you more up-to-date news as it becomes available, this is CNN." Only seconds after the report, the Sentinels came crashing down like rains of fire. Bursting into buildings, destroying blocks of properties; it looked like they were searching for something. Then they came upon the store. They ripped the roof off of the building, searching for more victims. Unfortunately, they found one. The Sentinels left with a few people, leaving a scene of carnage and dismay behind. They took the captives to an underground facility, where they were to perform experiments of a sinister nature. Some were ordinary humans, while others were mutants. They were strapped down on tables, being made ready for some kind of procedure. There was a serum being injected into the captives, with disastrous results. The serum contained different strains of mutant DNA, and a shot of Sentinel technology. Their plan was to make a ultra powerful meta-hybrid mutant with sentinel nanites to feed them instructions, and to be able to control their creations. They had a few setbacks though. When they injected the victim with the serum, one of four things would happen: (1) they would die a quick painless death, (2) they would die a slow agonizing death, (3) the victim would somehow survive the procedure, only to be in extreme pain and insanity. Ultimately though, they would succumb to the insanity, and would be... well, you know. (4) Though none have so far, the process would be a complete success. A lot of people were going num 1, but a few were going num 2. They went down each row of people, injecting them, until they finally came down to this poor woman. Yes, the same one who was carrying the baby. But at the same time hovering over the earth, The Silver Surfer, patrolling this area of the Milky Way, was looking out over the planet, seeing events unfold. His eyes then fell upon the underground facility, seeing the horrors within. He rushed down as quickly as he could, trying to stop more procedures from happening. He reached facility too late, the Sentinels had already given her the serum, but something different happened this time. Instead of the serum going into her blood stream, it went in to the child's. The Surfer, after destroying the nearby sentinel, used his power to purify the serum in the child, if had he tried to remove it from him, it would have killed him. After doing that, he helped the woman to exit of the facility, and once she was away, he destroyed it. The woman made it to the mainland, only to find that she was in New York. She found a phone and called her husband, letting him know that they were alright, and took herself to the hospital, where she later delivered. She give birth to baby boy, and they named him Zackary Anthony Thomas." "But enough of my rambles, let's let the story tell itself for awhile." After the ordeal that they had went through, they just wanted to relax and go home. But this was not the end, only... a prelude to it.
