"HUNGER!!!"

From a distance, the planet of Almeras V was a jewel in space. It teemed with life, and was pulsing with activity. Suddenly, a massive shadow loomed over the planet's surface, nearly engulfing it in darkness. A gigantic vessel slowly made its way over to the planet, and stopped a few thousand miles away. Preceding the vessel was a streak of white light, zipping into the atmosphere, and racing toward the capital city. As the smoke cleared, the being within showed his true form. Flying atop two hoverdiscs, he was a well muscled young man wearing a cybernetic suit, the suit itself a grim reminder of a promise he had made so long ago. "Take heed populace of Almeras V. Your planet has received the highest of honors: the privilege of becoming the next meal of my benevolent master, the mighty Galactus!!!", the flying man announced. Whooshing through the city at breakneck speed, an impossibly long shadow swept behind him. The herald arrived at what appeared to be a planetary senate building. He blew through the doors and into the main auditorium. The eyes of shocked officials were fixed on him waiting for him to speak. He finally did."Your world is doomed. Make your peace, for this is the last time you will." The city went into a panic, people running every which way, insanity in the streets, troops trying to mount a defense against Galactus's massive ship. They were all about to cease. As the call went out, the entire planet mobilized. Fleets of starships stormed through the clouds, rushing to halt Galactus's advance. Becoming an annoyance to him, Galactus starting swatting the ships aside like gnats. But one ship was spared, spared to watch his world die screaming. He watched helplessly as the tubes from   Galactus's ship penetrated the ground of his planet, feeding off its core. In mere minutes, his world was gone, devoured by Galactus. On that day, he swore that he would have his revenge on him.

Five years later....

A beam of light was racing through the stars, zipping pass star systems and galaxies, finally reaching its destination, on a certain blue planet. As it made its way to Time Square, it finally revealed itself to be Galactus's herald. After destroying a few cars and blasting holes in a few buildings, the Breed immediately responded to the crisis. After reaching Time Square, the herald stopped attacking, turned to the Breed, and started to speak:"My name is Reaper, I am Galactus's herald. Many solar cycles ago, my lord set his sights upon a world, rich with life and beauty. The people tried to mount a resistance against him, but it was futile. He swatted their forces away like gnats, decimating their fleets. He then used his ship to suck that world dry, completely and utterly. But something went wrong. A lone ship survived the destruction, and started to track down my master. He then became trapped in a cosmic storm; the radiation in the storm ripped through his ship, altering his DNA, and warping his mind. He then began to make his way toward Galactus's next target. The power he gained, it was incredible. He destroyed an entire planet, without ever lifting up has hand. He told Galactus that he was willing to do anything to stop him, even if it meant destroying all the other planets to do so."

After taking a moment to digest everything that has been said, Nightshock asked: "So what does this have to do with us Reaper?" "The only way the Mighty Galactus could defeat him, was to order you to assist him." "Order me?!? who does he... Well, what does he want us to do?", Nightshock begrudgingly asked. "He 'asked' of you to fight 'by' his side", Reaper answered. "Oookkkkk..... so where are we to meet him then?", he asked. At that precise moment, the ground shook as if massive feet were stomping towards them. A shadow as tall as the sky loomed over them as Nightshock shouted: "No-ho-ho, no he didn't. HE DID NOT BRING HIM HERE!!!" Galactus walked up to them without a word. After moments of silence, Nightshock then said: "Soooooo?" Moments later, Galactus finally spoke: "TIME HERE IS LIMITED, HE WILL NOT BE FAR BEHIND. " "Ok, so , what do we do now?", Nightshock asked. "WE MUST DELAY HIS APPROACH TO EARTH, AND WE MUST STOP HIM FROM CHARGING HIS POWER, SO THAT YOUR WORLD MY YET LIVE ANOTHER DAY. ", Galactus said. While the Breed was mounting a defense against this newly empowered being, Nightshock took some time and talked to Galactus. "What do you think our chances are, ya know, for survival?" Nightshock said to him. "THEY DO NOT SEEM FAVORABLE FOR EITHER OF US. I FEAR THAT WE MAY PERISH UNDER HIS POWER, FOR IT RIVALS EVEN THAT OF GALACTUS", said Galactus. Just then, Nightshock whipped his head around, as if he was slapped. "Something's coming this way. Something big", he said warily. Inferno turned to face him. "Big? Big like what?", she asked. "Big like supremely EVIL big", he answered back. But there was a force coming to earth. It was slowly making its way through the solar system, passing through the planets as if passing through air. Finally, it reached earth. "GALACTUS!!!!!!", the being shouted, "THIS TIME, THERE IS NO ESCAPE!!! ."

"Being, what do you want here?", Reaper said. "YOU KNOW OF
' WHAT', FOOL", the being said."FIVE YEARS AGO, THIS, THIS MONSTROUS 'THING' DESTROYED MY HOME, KILLED MY PEOPLE, MY WIFE, EVERYTHING I'VE EVER KNOWN. I'VE SPENT THE REST OF THOSE YEARS TRACKING HIM DOWN TIL I REACHED HIM. BUT WHEN I DID.... OH THOSE RAYS, IT WAS HORRIBLE, THE PAIN.. IN MY MIND.... THERE'S NOTHING THERE BUT... REVENGE." "What happened to you?", Nightshock asked. "I DIED THAT DAY, ARCYSX... DIED THAT DAY."

         "Arcysx...", Nightshock said. "NO, THAT'S NOT MY NAME ANYMORE!!!  GALACTUS!! YOU WILL PAAYYYY!!!!!" He then lunged at him, striking Galactus in his chest, knocking him down through a series of skyscrapers. Galactus then raised his hand to him and said: "AWAY PEST!!!!", teleporting him far the galaxy. "NOW, WE MAKE OUR ESCAPE", but before they could do anything, Arcysx appeared before them, looking mad as heck. "THAT...WAS...A MISTAKE. NOW YOU DIE!!!" Arcysx was hovering about a thousand feet away, but he was quickly closing the gap between him and Galactus. Reaper tried to intercept him, but was blasted aside, sending him flying into space. Arcysx went barreling towards Galactus like a missile, when Nightshock crossed his path. "You can't do this, Arcysx! The more you use your power, the more it corrupts you as you use it!" "WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOOL?, DESTROY HIM BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!", Galactus bellowed. But Arcysx was already moving past Nightshock, heading straight for Galactus. He hit him head on, smacking him to the ground, which triggered a massive shockwave, flattening nearly everything in its path. When the smoke cleared, Arcysx was floating a few feet above Galactus, laughing like a madman. Laying inside a giant crater, Galactus was spread out on the ground, and unbelievably, with deep wounds all over his body. Nightshock, knocked hard to the ground, looked over to see what happened to Galactus. He saw his near lifeless body in the crater, knowing that Arcysx had dealt Galactus a lethal blow. But because Arcysx's power matched Galactus's, he couldn't kill him, though he has a good chance of doing it, with him in a starved state losing energy. "GALACTUS IS STILL ALIVE, WHY CAN'T I DESTROY HIM?" After thinking about it for a time, it came to him, "I COULD STARVE HIM OUT BY DESTROYING THIS LUSH WORLD, BEFORE HE HAS A CHANCE TO CONSUME IT FOR HIMSELF!!!" After hearing his plan, and seeing Arcysx fly into the atmosphere, Galactus then turned to Nightshock and said: "THIS FOE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN A MATCH FOR ME, USING MY WEAKNESSES FOR HIS OWN TWISTED GAIN. I FEAR THAT I MAY NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DEFEAT HIM ON MY OWN." "Just what are you saying?", Nightshock replied back. "FOR US TO DEFEAT THIS MENACE, WE WOULD NEED TO JOIN FORCES LIKE NEVER BEFORE." "Like what?", Nightshock said apprehensively. "WE WOULD NEED TO COMBINE, TOGETHER, MERGING OUR ABILITIES INTO ONE BODY, ONE MIND." Looking at the situation at hand, Nightshock turned to Galactus and said: "Do I have a choice?" "NO, WE DO NOT", Galactus answered back ominously. Then, Nightshock started to turn transparent, beginning to shift in and out of reality. Galactus then became intangible, creating an inescapable vortex that drew them both together. As Galactus began to change, pieces of his armor started to change.  When he and Nightshock finally merged, their shape changed completely. From the helmet downward, his appearance was menacing; the armor changed in color from dark red and blue, to black and silver, glowing with authority. The top section of the  helmet was gone, only stopping at the top of his head. And Finally a cape was formed. the last thing to by seen were his two bright glowing eyes, illuminating his face. Galactus and Nightshock were gone, but in their place now stood: Nihlactus. He then teleported to the Moon, eagerly awaiting Arcysx.

As Arcysx was powering himself up, getting ready to strike Earth, a huge shadow then loomed over him, almost blocking out the sun. He then turned around, seeing the monstrous creation nearing closer to him, ducked out of the way before he could be crushed by Nihlactus's hands. Arcysx, stunned by what had happened, was sure that the last hits he dealt Galactus and Nightshock, were near fatal. But that wasn't the case.

No matter what Arcysx threw at Nihlactus, they always struck back with greater force. But the more that Arcysx used his abilities, the more crazed he became. It was only a matter of time until his mind became completely unstable. And then, he did. He hurled blasts of cosmic energy in every direction, shouting: "YOU SHOULD BE GONE BY NOW!!!! WELL, IF YOU CAN STOP THE EARTH FROM GOING BOOM!, LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN STOP THE DESTRUCTION OF THIS GALAXY!!!!" After considering the situation, one thought rang out in Nihlactus's mind: "HE MUST BE STOPPED!!!!" Just as arcysx was ready to release his energy upon the galaxy, Nihlactus then combined the cosmic power of Galactus, and the incredible energy of Reckon, creating a highly powerful fusion of dominance of the two. And, arcing his arm backwards, he thrust his hand toward Arcysx, releasing the built up fusion energy in a wide beam. After the light had died down, Arcysx was nowhere to be found. Only Nihlactus knew his final destination.

A few days later, back on Earth, the newly created Nihlactus and his temporary herald, Reaper, were about to set off into the greater unknown. When he was questioned as to why, his only reply was: "THE POWER OF OUR FUSION BLAST FROM 'DEALING' WITH ARCYSX HAS NEARLY FUSED US TOGETHER PERMANENTLY. ONLY ANOTHER COSMIC DISTURBANCE LIKE THIS ONE WILL RETURN US TO NORMALITY." With that final word, the two of them ascended into the sky, and then began their journey through the universe. After they had left the galaxy, Reaper then asked Nihlactus: "Master, what had happened to Arcysx?" "YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HIM ANYMORE." And it could not be farther from the truth. For when Nihlactus blasted Arcysx, he sent him back to where his planet was consumed, only to see it recreated before his eyes.

Arcysx descended through the clouds to the surface. As he touched down, he was met by his family and friends. He warmly embraced them; thanking the powers that be that they are alive. Though slightly as powerful, he continued to serve his people as their champion, protecting them from any harm that came their way.

As for Nihlactus, he, along with his herald, roamed the universe; seeking the cosmic event that would sever them from each other. Only time will tell, if they will find it...
