After seeing Chuggaaconroy's lets play of this game, I wanted to draw Pit and Dark Pit (Pitto)Edit: Fixed some shading.

Well at first glace it appears that the Pit in Super Smash Brothers Brawl is the Pit from the original Kid Icarus, with an awesome redesign just like the Ice Climbers and Marth.
and that the Pit and Palutena from Kid Icarus Uprising look like they do in Brawl just to that they'll look famili,r.
But I don't think this is the case

I'm not finished yet
From KI we know that Pit is the captain of Palutena's guard, from her prison in Skyworld she sent a bow to Pit in his prison in the Undeworld. Pit uses this bow to shoot at enemies and goes on a quest to find the 3 Sacred Treasures: the Mirror Shield, the Wings of Pegasus and the Arrows of Light so that he can slay Medusa with them and save the day. along the way he can free Centurions turned to stone that later come to help him in boss battles.
The 3 sacred treasures come back as his B moves and his Final Smash summons Centurions. that's good and all, but what about everything else?
what about this cut scene www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ1JFa⦠this didn't happen "like this" in KI so we assume this is just Brawl's interpretation of what Pit's life is like. But the similarities don't match KI the way they match KIU

and isn't Pit running up the stairs just like the way he runs out of a door for every mission?
not only that, how do you get new weapons? you buy them from Palutena! The same way she's giving Pit a weapon in Brawl, probably for free
then there's the bow itself. the bow in KI could Only shoot arrows nothing else.
the bow in KIU (yes that very same bow is among the dozens of others you can unlock) Does come apart to use as duel swords,
and then there's Pit talking, the way Palutena projects herself as a giant hologram, and the way Pit's wings in his up B,
My conclusion is: The version of Pit in Super Smash Brawl is not a return of the Pit from Kid Icarus, but an early appearance of the version of Pit straight from Kid Icarus Uprising!
