Description
A combination of Spring, a new DSLR and a macro contest here at DA has inspired me to try my hand at photography.DA is currently running a "Beauty in Everyday Objects" macro photo contest and I've been running around taking tons of pics and setting up lots of fun compositions. This is not an entry for that because flowers are not an "everyday household object", but I like this so much I had to post!
There's not really a sense of scale here, but Oregon Grapes have very small flowers (about 1-2 cm). I was delighted to get this shot of our Oregon Grape in bloom.
Taken with my Canon T2i and a 10x macro filter. Minimal color adjustment and boost in Photoshop.

Thanks so much, Sophia! I'm so used to taking stock photos that I have to switch mental gears to take beauty shots, but I'm learning!
