Description Ultramarines Uriel Ventris's Veteran Sergeant, and friend Pasanius.

This model is being built to represent the fact that Pasanius is a huge marine and has armour salvaged from a irreparable suit of terminator armour and power armour.

The red dots represent where i am to place some rivets in the armour to give it more of a "tank" like appearence.

there will obviously be a few added bits like purity seals and so on soon.

I'm not normally a huge fan of upscaled marines, but for Pesanius I can make and exception! Especially when he looks so damned awesome!!!

This guy is a hit out of the ballpark man (Oh right, your australian, I guess insert a similar soccer comment for that one.). I'm dying to find out how you did the rivet bumps, what is that red stuff? I've tried to achieve similar effects with my Space Marines before and failed with green stuff, so please tell me your secrets!

Will you be doing one of Ventris too?

AND WORK FOR GW DAMNIT!!!! Your talents are wasted elsewise.

lol, cheers mate!!, I prefer Rugby Union or league, which would be on a conversion scale similar to Grid Iron, But without the body armour a bigger ball and a larger field and some more bloodshed along the way lol.

Rivets, Ok its not really a secret, buy a charcol water filter, cut it open, and there should be thousands of tiny resin beads of different sizes amongst the charcol, but be aware that its a long and messy process to seperate the two.

Ventris is along the way, a bit more of a simpler conversion but hopefully should capture the feel none the less.

Hmm, ok I'll have to try that. Oh and I have played rugby once. One of the corporals my freshman year at college was on the rugby team. His name was "Hans Hulsebuss" (not kidding) and he was about 6' 6" tall and weighed something close to 270 lbs of almost pure muscle. The dude was scary huge, playing American football once (which he didn't know the rules to somehow!) it took 14 people to tackle him! He was actually extremely nice and a genius at math and such, had a double major in math and physics go figure.

Oh, and I suck horribly at rugby.

Very true, i wish the space marines were modelled a bit larger than the imp guard just to convey the true feel of them.

You know, reading the Ultramarine novels, I always thought it was kind of weird - since Terminator armour was meant to make an already huge marine bigger, wouldn't there be -less- space for a massive brother-marine like Pasanius? It's not like power armour is hollow like medieval plate armour, there's a lot of shit going on in there - servos, cabling, electronics, hydraulics, and a whole lot of other secrets of the machine-god that we're not privy to.

Regardless. The model looks badass - like how I pictured him in the novels. Can't wait to see him finished.

Actually Space Marines keep growing with age, just at diminished rates. As a result Terminator marines are almost always a few inches to a full head taller than their younger brethren, they also tend to be a little slower (Still superhumanly fast mind you.) than the youngsters as well.

good old loyal, dependable, Pasanius, burninator of Dark Eldar, incinerator of Tyranid, blood donor...haven't read Dead Sky Black Sun yet, but I did read Storm of Iron and a somewhat spoiling short story from Planet Kill.

Aaanyway, your rendition of him looks really awesome so far.

He kills lots of Iron Warriors. Oh, and that evil self repairing bionic arm problem finally gets resolved, though I won't ruin it for you.

Oh I have an idea of how it gets resolved, I just don't know the events leading up to it.

Pasanius is a great character, I like your representation. That, and the fact that he's one-handing a flamer

Also, are you planning on drilling out a hole in the flamer barrel?
