Thanks for looking, commenting, and -ing my port of big Enzo.
Actually, I plan on trying again; this one did not meet my expectations. But then, that's what can make drawing fun, I guess.

WOW! This is just amazing. Probably the best Matrix pic I've seen. The details are stunning. You've really captured the true Matrix there. Awesome work.

As I look at him, I see a faint hint of his youthful boyhood emerging. Despite his hardship Matrix deep down remains the kid at heart.
It's that spark which sets this Matrix image from the numerous others. Just his subtle smile holds the key. It isn't harsh nor brooding, yet light with that undying sense of curiosity and adventure.

Thank you, Random-EXplosion, for your wonderful assessment. I am honored, especially since you share my interest in the big guy.
Before you joined the RB forums, I was known to draw teenage Enzos. You might have liked them. My fav, which is in color, was a bit like your "Still My Hero" although more angsty. I may scan it back to the web if I can find the original. If I do, I hope you'll take a look...
PS: I noticed you changed your avatar!

I will be certain to take a gander when and if you do. I'm very interested to see each artist's take on our green hero as there are many endless possibilities to portray his emotions.
Ah, you noticed the change? Her intimidating stare was beginning to bug me a tad. Not that it wasn't bad mind you. I wanted something different seeing as I use her for every icon/avatar related to Reboot. Call it a slight change for awhile.

Is that a good EEHEEEE or a bad EEHEEEE ? Kyria, I can't hear your tone from here ....

kyria In reply to CyrionB [2007-10-28 02:46:33 +0000 UTC]
as for the sig, maybe you could have it near the shoulder .....ammo...thing. instead.
and it was a good EEHEEEE, can't you see the smiley??

CyrionB In reply to kyria [2007-10-28 03:11:26 +0000 UTC]
*pulls out microscope* oH yeah, there's a smiley -- er, it's licking its lips...eewwwwwwww
Hmm, yes, on the shoulder would be nice, but it's that the whole problem with the siggy, that it's too noticeable 'cause it's sticking over his shoulder, kyria?
BTW, did you read boggie's and my conversation re the Greek gods cast of ReBoot?

I don't think I read the conversation.......
maybe you could make the sig gray instead of darker.

Nice realistic drawing. I like how his hair blends into the background. I think it's the eye and the half smile that make him look less troubled.
On a side note, I think your sig in the black background draws the eye away from the subject of the drawing.

I just realized you meant my actual signature, not my watermark.
Interesting. I had the signature put on the shoulder because I thought that in the smaller version (and when you look fast) it enhances the image by giving the impression of a military outfit -- you know, when they wear those fancy frilly gold things on their shoulders. It balanced that thing he wears on his other shoulder. Oh well, guess I was wrong...

Oh, please, DON'T apologize!! This is what deviantArt if for: to show off, but also to get (or give) constructive criticism. How else can an artist perfect his/her skills?

CyrionB In reply to Cerulean452 [2007-10-28 02:22:10 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, Cerulean, regarding the siggy you're quite right. I can't yet figure out the best watermark for all these drawings. I would really appreciate it if anyone can suggest a better way.
As for the look, thank you, I like your assessment of him as "less troubled". I like to think that contented little Enzo is still there, deep down.

You manage to make Matrix look much more gentle than how I usually picture him. It's something about his eyes, and perhaps his mouth.

CyrionB In reply to boggart [2007-10-27 23:16:27 +0000 UTC]
I was trying to show the boy still in the man. Or perhaps the human in the CGI.
Shall I assume that you gave it ?

Oh, no no no! Not at all. I've grown to like Matrix a little bit over the years, and I enjoy this drawing because, as *Cerulean452 said, he looks less troubled.
