True. Aside from that, Shadowsites are rare to come across. And killing them requires killing the host.

Well, there is, but it takes time.
The unsafe way is to forcibly remove the Shadowsite, but it'll give the host a horrible way to die. Imagine this: take the symptoms of the flu, amplify the feeling your gonna die, add pain throughout the body, vomiting, and extra tiredness. This goes on for 36 hours until the host dies.
The SAFE way is to have sexual intercourse with the host, but that's not as easy as it sounds. The host and the person he/she's having sex with have to be a perfect match for each other; no one thinks something is bad about the other. Here's an example: Voltaire is a Host and his long time non-romantic partner is Coba Mayan. They can't get it on to get rid of his Shadowsite since Coba is afraid of Voltaire and he doesn't trust her due to her tendencies to completely ditch him for a hot guy or, most likely, girl.
