edit - Alternate version: Don't judge a movie by its book as requested by =Aquarior .edit - Changed the font.
I read that sentence into a Reader's Digest and I thought it would make a nice stamp.
Then I discovered that somebody had already done a similar stamp here , but I decided to submit this one anyway.

Oh my god. It's A Series of Unfortunate Events all over again...except I liked the ASoUE movie...and I have died countless times because of it. Metaphorically speaking.

They were probably thinking "wooooah i'm so trippy right now what did i even smoke last night". That mess MUST have been drug induced or something, I don't know how it got into the theaters. .-.

It's terrible because Darren Shan is a good writer and the Cirque Du Freak series was awesome ^_^

You're completely right. For example, I hate when people say they detest Twilight because they don't like the movie... Twilight is a book, not only the movie If you hate the two things, after jugde both the movie and the book, then you can say you hate Twilight
!
Anyways, I loved the stamp! ! Good job

Completely agree. Sometimes you love one and dislike the other, so don't say you hate the whole franchise just because of a part of it.

Exactly! Books sometimes are completely different to films; so you can't say you don't like them only watching the film

Funny, I just watched the movie.
It was pretty kickass, but not as kickass as the books.
And there wasn't enough SherlockxWatson. lol

That's true. "I saw the movie, I know the story, I don't wanna read it!" The story is sometimes totally different!

Mothy67 In reply to Daeg-Niht [2010-12-19 16:16:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah! For example, the Series of Unfortunate Events was an ok movie, but you really have to read the books to understand everything that happens and in what order (and why the heck did they throw in a train scene??)

MrPaintRavioli In reply to Mothy67 [2016-08-29 03:12:49 +0000 UTC]
Saw the movie first, then watched the movie.
Maybe it's because I'm insane, but I liked both. I have an idea for an AU version of some of my characters where they are in the V.F.D. world, and some nods to the film are in the story, such as the spyglass, the train scene, a few quotes from Olaf (even though he's dead in this), and the magnifying glass eye in Olaf's (abandoned) tower, but the story's timeline is that of the books and there are a bunch of references to the events of the books (the fan fiction story centers around the sugar bowl and the Great Unknown).

Oh man, Eragon...that..that was just bad xD though later I did try to get into the series and for some reason couldn't. Now, before someone randomly jumps up and beats me, I do have to say, I really do like the Twilight series. The movies...well....screwed the very existence of the books. I mean, a ton of people hate on it, never read the books, but hate on it anyways. I understand if you don't like the books and movie, I respect that. At least they gave it a chance, but those who haven't...really? How can you argue your point?
Stephanie was just tryin to be original, create a different view on vampires and werewolves. They may not appeal to everyone, but no need to flame over it xD
Anyways, thanks a lot for the stamp! ^^

(I loved the film, myself...)
So, that's another fave for you. 8D
