Description
So this was the colour scheme I originally planned for my hare piece, but after I went full-on with the practice I didn't really want to draw another hare so soon. I went to the zoo recently and took a photo of a gorilla with dramatic direct lighting (middle-of-the-day sun) with the thought of 'I could paint/draw that' so I picked him instead I did think about doing a darker background in browns and reds to make the backlit hair the dramatic part of the drawing and to create a feeling of strength, but then decided that the cooler, less unusual (maybe?) colour scheme might be interesting and I stuck with my original plan.

I've gotten better (I think) at knowing how far to go with the details before stopping. It's tough, but I believe I made the right choices here...
