: DI should be doing homework, but for the past few hours, I've been working on this in Open Canvas (if I had used Photoshop, this would've taken maybe 5 minutes max and come out much better, but you see... I somehow downloaded OC in Japanese, therefore it is very hard for me to read. So I've kind of had to remember what buttons do what and what shortcut keys and blahblah like you actually care.) instead. XO
It's available for download, too. If you actually want it. It's a little busy for the eyes if you have lotsa' desktop icons, so that I don't exactly recommend. You have been warned. >:3

Actually, the game developers published a single actual copy of the book (in English, yes), and then it was translated into Japanese for the official Japanese Ace Combat 5 website ( [link] ), and then back to English again by someone I forgot the name of. But I have the re-translated version if you'd like me to Note you with it.

While I feel a little odd admitting that Nagase was my favorite character after reading everyone's comments on her "emo-ness", but she is. The only way I would not feel that way about her was if in the story they actually showed Blaze and him changing in the last battles into Razgriz.

I think the main reason she is my favorite character is because she actually acts the way she wants the world to be, peaceful. In my opinion she is the most expressive and sincere of the bunch (except for Snow maybe...or Bartlett...but then again, that could be because his voice sounds like Roger Smith's off of Big O...), and deserves a lot of success as a favorite character. Grimm is a whimp. Chopper.......gets annoying. Nagase=Just right.
Now that I've played all the Ace Combat games for the PS2, I have to wonder if Nagase developed a...protective relationship of Blaze on the ground much like what happened between Yellow 4 and Yellow 13 in AC4...Just a question I just realized.

Yeah, Nagase is the very sincere type. Snow can be pretty sincere, too. He's a smart fella', usually saying some very good words of wisdom about war and hatred and stuff. Although Nagase does that too.
... And then there's Bartlett... He's a little too honest sometimes when it comes to his opinion on things, which is probably why he never gets promoted.
Yes. Chopper is annoying. But in the funny way. See, you just either A) ignore him, B) answer questions he asks you with the most confusing answer possible, and C) ignore him.
Chopper: "So we have to match up the timing of the destruction, not our firing, right?
Blaze: "Yes."
Chopper: "Okay! Sorry, I'm good now!"
*10 seconds later*
Chopper: "... Sorry, we destroy the radar on 3, 2, 1, 0, right?"
Blaze: "No."
Chopper: "Wait wait... what?! That's not right?!"
Shame he dies.
"Grimm is a wimp"? I DISAGREE. Grimm is incredibly brave, are you kidding? I'd have to say that he's the bravest of all of them! When your base is under attack, and you decide to launch even though you haven't finished training yet to go combat the enemy and you're not quite sure what you're doing, you're scared, but you do it anyways; that's called bravery. When you're scared, and you really don't wanna do something 'cause it could mean the difference between life and death, but you get up there and do it, THAT IS BRAVERY.
Bravery isn't doing stunts on motorcycles or jumping off a bridge with a stretchy cord attached. Bravery isn't doing crazy-arsed things for fun or for "the thrill".
I'd say that being a fighter pilot to begin with is pretty damn brave.
Yeah, I do wonder that a bit about Blaze and Nagase... They don't seem like the pairing-type like say... Nastasya and Jack, for instance. But I'm sure she has a very protective relationship over Blaze (she apparently felt the same way for Bartlett, as she seemed to get kind of ticked when the "Major" was introduced. Although maybe it was because the Major didn't seem remember her name. Lol. xDD )
Dude, Yellow 4 and Yellow 13 so totally deserve some fanart. I can't get 4's eyes and 13's hair right, though. I need to sketch them more. WITH A PUPPY. 'Cause that's just been my cliche` lately. Peoples wiff the liddle puppies. X3

*deer in headlights look* When I said Grimm was a wimp it was meant in relation to the other characters. I kept thinking that if Chopper wasn't saying one negative thing, then Grimm was going off about some other one which at one point just made me really frustrated with him. I suppose that was why I always gave him the better plane, to sort of make up for that. Lately it seems I've been sticking to the F-14 family and giving Grimm an F-22 or X-02, depending on my mood. Seems like he hasn't complained much more than what he needed to to fit in the story, so maybe my view will change of him in time.
Yes, Grimm was very brave in getting up in the air in the middle of an attack.
Although on the tunnel mission (seems like there is always one of these in the game...), I completely felt sympathetic to everyone's complaining when flying through it.
You know you are right about there needing to be more of Yellow 4 and 13. I wish I could draw more than stick figures....or invented a way to transfer the images in my head to a computer.....

Technically, I love all the characters. They're well-written, they have personalities, grudges, sarcasm, sillyness, fears, etc. They're very... well... human.
Haha... I'm the complete opposite with Grimm and assigning my squad planes. XDD
I usually give everyone shiny new X-02s, and then just to mock him, I stick him with a F-20 Tigershark (if I'm in a "good" mood).
And yeah, he whines a lot. It's really no wonder he and Chopper got along so well. D:
I miss Chopper, though. He always seemed to lighten up the mood with some stupid remark. Although he did get annoying a few times... like on the mission "Powder Keg". All he was doing was talking and talking and complaining and talking some more and he just wouldn't shut-up. Even Nagase, of all people, told him to be quiet because he was "getting a little annoying". And that's considering that she has a fairly high tolerance level for his wisecracks, too.
He was a dork.
