This is a commissioned artwork for my friend Daniel. I chose this pose for the majestic feel that it gives to the character, to enhance what is already in the character's demeanor. Although I do not know whether he has mystic powers that resonates through his hands or not.
He is part of four poster renders commissioned to me. Korene, Nec and Leren are coming up next.

The pose is definitely very majestic. He seems to almost have a glare in his eye, as if he's doing what he's doing because it's his duty as Lord or Prince or Count or something but inside himself he knows it's wrong...maybe it's just me but his expression and pose seem to say a lot.

Great pencils.. The proporcionality is almost perfect (it never is 100% perfect!).. And the position and clothes kick ass.. Great pencils indeed..

Proportions are always tricky when you're drawing fictional characters...
... then again, us real people aren't that proportional as well.

His face is freaking INCREDIBLE.

Anyway back to this guy - the pose really does work, especially with the way the hand is extended and the fingers slightly curled up. it looks like he could be either asking for someone to take his hand, or holding some sort of magical power within it. And the little braid next to his ear
