"Hey bud, we gotta run!" Kou shouted, grabbing Hiro's arm. Hiro stood stock still, frozen as he eyed the catgirl reaching for him. "Don't jes stand there like a stick ya'll, get yer arse in gear!"

Hiro turned to start running, only for Kou to tackle him to the ground, getting snatched up by the neko. "Kou!" Hiro shouted, firing a volley of lead.

Hayate growled, running out onto the stone wall before he leaped, catching her just below the elbow with a sharp kick. For a moment nothing seemed to happen, but she yowled, dropping Kou to the ground as she grabbed at her arm. "Down Kitty! If you want food, go somewhere else!" Hayate jeered, resisting the urge to laugh.

"You bastard! What did you do to my arm!?" She shouted, glaring at Hayate in a huff. She turned suddenly, raising her ears as she looked to the south, away from Hayate and the others. "They found her house already?" Without another word, she stood up, running off as quick as a flash.

"What the hell was that all about...?" Hiro muttered, shaking his head.

"Hiro, Kou, we're splitting up. Kou, you go check inside the school grounds, make sure that everyone's ok. After that, you follow Hiro to the north, where the neko came from, and see just what in the hell is going on."

"What're ya'll talkin' bout. It was jes one neko. You're actin like a war's bout to start," Kou commented, shaking his head.

"It was one neko wearing military garb," Hiro countered, shaking his head."We've either got an AWOL soldier, or someone's planning to attack this city. So while we're doing that, what're you gonna be doin?"

"I'm gonna be check-" A blast of cannonfire interrupted Hayate, slamming square in the middle of the trio, knocking them all off their feet. Hiro cursed under his breath, trying to get back his balance. Without even waiting for Hayate and Kou he ran out the gates, running to the north. Kou was up next, running after Hiro. "What happened to checking on the students...?" Hayate coughed, shaking his head as he sat up. "Damn, I'm no good with explosions."

"Ya'll think Hayate'll be ok?" Kou asked Hiro, running close behind. "He seemed pretty dang steamed when ya'll left."

"He'll be ok, he's the Hero of Justice, remember?" Hiro panted, sliding to a stop as he scrunched up against a building, peeking around the corner. "He wouldn't drop so easily from a single cannon explosion, even if he was the closest to the blast."

"Ya'll're makin' 'im sound like some kinda superhuman. Do ye really think he'd be ok after a blast like that?"

"Yes, I'm certain, now quiet down and follow me. And he's hardly superhuman. He's just stubborn-too stubborn for his own good sometimes." Hiro laughed softly. Seeing no one there, he ran down the road, Kou close behind. "I really wouldn't be surprised if he got sniped in the head, and still managed to survive."

"Ye're scarin' me now Hiro..." Kou muttered.

Soon enough they could hear the sound of chattering and stopped, Hiro looking down an alleyway. There, he saw a man with a claymore strapped to his back, talking to a blond neko that rivaled the doorway she stood in front of in size.

"Lassic, you're saying that there's an army here to capture some princess, and you want my help?" The blond querried, arms crossed in front of her full bosom doubtfully.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Will you help me?" The silver haired man asked, shaking his head. "I want to do this on my own, but I lack the power by myself, m'lady."

"No way. I hate wars, and fighting. Ask someone else. So long as I have my design studio, I'll be fine."

"But Twixy-!" Lassic started. The catgirl glanced up. SHe gasped in shock, grabbing Lassic and ran as fast as she could.

"No way no way no way no way! You can't be seri-" Another cannonshot, much larger then the one that had staggered Hiro and Kou, slammed into Twixy's residence, quickly reducing it and the surrounding buildings to rubble from the blast. Twixy stood up, shaking her head to clear away the aftereffects of the blast as she turned, holding Lassic to her breasts. Of her studio, and of the buildings around it, there was nothing but a pile of rubble. "Lassic...I've changed my mind."

"I-I'm sorry...you lost your home," Lassic gasped out, Twixy's arms cutting off his breath as she trembled in rage. "L-Loosen up! There's a point where it's just not enjoyable anymore!"

"They said that there was a war goin' on, and mentioned somethin' bout a princess. Think they mean Kri?" Kou asked Hiro, looking at him.

"She's the only one that comes to mind," Hiro replied sarcastically, shrugging. "Think we should go help Hayate out?" He asked rhetorically, due to the fact he had no idea where Kri lived.

"Shit man! What're we gunna do? There ain't nothing that we can do to help Hayate! We dun even know jes where he went!" Kou moaned, holding his head. "Game over man, game over!" Hiro clenched his fist, shaking as he fought to control his urge to smack some sense into Kou.

"Sorry to interrupt your cries of despair but did you say Hayate, as in Hayate Maehara?" Lassic asked, right behind Hiro. Hiro and Kou both jumped in shock, especially when they realized that Twixy was right behind him, and that she looked none too pleased.

"Y-Yeah, how do you know about him?" Hiro muttered, shivering.

Lassic started to say something more, but Twixy wrapped her tail around him, lifting him in the air as she grabbed Hiro and Kou by the back of their shirts. "You'd better know where this princess is, for your sake," She growled. Hiro glanced at her mouth, having no doubts what she'd do if he said no.

'H-He said something about going south!" Hiro gasped out, flailing his arms uselessly.
