☆ Simirror (シミラ) is so far, the only source for the rare Mirror Ability, and Helper character for the same, in Kirby's series of games. He is certainly a form of wizard/magician/witch/what-have-you-- with those large, red, flowing robes, and that even huger, over-sized orange hat! Simirror also wears an orange scarf around his neck that covers almost all of his facial features. The only trace of Sim's actual body is a pair of white eyes which can be glimpsed peering out of the dark abyss that is his face. A classic star shape adorns his hat, supported by a red band. Also similar to many Dream Land denizens are Simirror's yellow gloves and shoes. The weapon of choice Sim is never seen without is his shiny trusty wand-- possibly the source of his Mirror-based powers, as evidenced when Mirror Kirby disposes of the Ability. This magic wand, like Beam Ability's accessory, is gold with a big blue orb at the end.

☆☆ Simirror is pretty nifty and slightly challenging to use in battle, having huge defensive capabilities, yet possessing very few offensive options. Mirror's greatest strength lies in its trademark reflective properties. One slash of the wand is enough to deal a decent cut of damage, but only when Simirror repeatedly waves the object back and forth does it produce its mystical power. The user can send a continuous stream of hexagonal mirrors which travel a short distance in front of them, that both deal a steady dose of damage to enemies, and reflect projectile attacks back at them. Similar to slashing with Sword Ability, though, Simirror's basic attacks don't pack much punch- but that's why there's Mirror Body! This quick attack splits the user in two two copies, which each project off in opposite directions, both dealing damage and coming back together afterwards. This attack is quick and unpredictable, and good because it can be used in the air, and also grants invincibility frames. Finally, Simirror's Mirror Ability is helpful because it boosts the character's guard ability, preventing all damage from projectile attacks, in addition to reflecting them back once again. However, it's still not an effective guard against Bosses grab techniques, nor direct physical damage. Stone is actually better, in that regard.

☆☆☆ Simirror has so far only appeared in the games Kirby Super Star, and remake- Ultra, however, his design continues to inspire other certain Kirby characters to this day. The Kirby-style wizard motif is duplicated in the likes of Drawcia and Magolor and takes a more Magician-like route with Wiz in Amazing Mirror (in which, ironically, neither Sim nor the Mirror Ability were included). However, it's most likely that these other related ideas also stem from more popular designs like Meta Knight and Dark Matter Swordsman. Although, fitting with this trend of mysterious Kirby characters, Simirror also is a good example that not all Dream Landers are sphere-bodied! Contrary to his "symmetrical" nature, Simirror is actually one of the characters without perfect symmetry- just because he's often depicted holding a wand in only one hand, while a single foot peeks out the bottom of his gown. Of course, I can go this far without mentioning his similarity in design with another video game wizard warrior- Final Fantasy's Black Mage, especially in the older games, where their squat appearance is almost identical. Simirror has the best pun-name of all Kirby's Helpers-- the basis of which is derived from the words "Similar" and "Mirror", akin to his Mirror Ability attributes.
