Description
A simple idea I had... the way metro apps look now on the Windows 8.1 taskbar is pretty ugly in my opinion. Just an ugly square with a colored background and a white image on top, That doesn't fit the modern feel to me, I want my OS experience to be good, and that just doesn't cut it for me.So I came up with this, a simple little change to the way metro apps look in the taskbar as compared to normal desktop apps. I think metro apps should look like this, it keeps the metro UI look and feel, and is a bit more consistent looks-wise with the actual metro tiles for the apps.
What do you think about this?

I don't think they should look like this. Doesn't look consistent with other apps. Maybe they could just keep the current look, but with some rounded corners around the colored square.

What do you mean not consistent with other apps? And I thought about a stylized icon instead, not so square... or even Uinverted! Like, the white image gets the color, no square. That may look good too!

That could work too I meant that the metro apps are not consistent with desktop ones.

Ah okay, yeah.. they don't match the style of the other taskbar icons.. but they match the style of the modern UI... it seems we have reached an issue
But honestly to me, even though they don't flow with the other taskbar icons, they still look nice there.

I feel that they are too intense compared to other icons, it's weird especially since you use desktop apps more.
Maybe a style similar to the photoshop icon would be better.

I really hope they do something like this for the next Windows... I don't always use metro apps, but when I do I hate the way it looks on the taskbar ...totally just copied that one meme lol

Hmm Not sure what the issue is but I guess it's just an incompatibility with your drivers and the new update..you could've tried downgrading back to just Windows 8.1
But whatever the issue is, good luck finding a solution!
