BIO: Slatekit was born alongside Sunkit and Tumblekit to Deercrisp and Strikesnatch . He was quite respected as an apprentice as FrostClan's leader, Rainstar , was his mentor. A bit after becoming a warrior, he finally decided to start flirting with Littlefang , loving how fearless she was despite being so small. After Slatefluff was able to recover from his mother's death, he and Littlefang decided to have their own family. They had a single son, Diamondkit , and Littlefang also fostered two other kits who were left without parents. Though Slatefluff's only interest was Diamondkit, not really interacting with the fostered kits.
His life started looking up even more a moon later when he was chosen to be Owlstar's next deputy after all of her other ones kept getting caught in fox traps. Suspicious of the pattern, Slatefluff learned how to find fox traps and to avoid them. Since he was promoted before finishing the training of his first apprentice, Stonepaw , he made up for it by teaching everyone else how to spot fox traps. Everyone loved him and hoped that he'd live to become the next leader. He got the chance when Owlstar announced that she was pregnant and temporarily stepping down, leaving Slatefluff in charge of FrostClan. He was thrilled and led quite well, some cats even starting to call him "Slatestar" as a joke. Though since he was much busier, he had less time to play with Diamondkit and often asked Strikesnatch to watch him. He missed spending time with his family, but he knew that the clan needed him, and he was ready to sacrifice himself. But when he could visit, he was a wonderful father.
Everything changed for the worst when Owlstar was revealed to have been involved in a cross-clan relationship, and that her son Bonekit was half BrackenClan. The majority of the clan voted that she left, so she was exiled. Slatefluff was sad to see her go but was excited to finally become FrostClan's official leader. He and the medicine cat apprentice Cottonleaf made the journey to the moonstone, as Beetlecloud was too busy mending the clan to take him. When they finally met Rainstar's spirit, he refused to give Slatefluff his lives and demanded them to bring him Bonekit instead, as the leader had to be related to all the previous ones. Heartbroken and confused, Slatefluff returned to camp and let the medicine cats take Bonekit to the moonstone instead, refusing to go with them. He stayed as the child's deputy as he was the order that FrostClan needed, but he grew to be quite bitter towards StarClan since they chose a small kit to be leader instead of him. He started training in the dark forest to both spite StarClan and to become stronger for his own clan. Littlefang died a moon later, causing him to sink even deeper into the training. He was almost always asleep, trying to get in as much training as he could. It got to the point where he would teach his deadly moves to Mousepaw , his new apprentice, as he wanted him to be strong as well despite his size; just like Littlefang. But one night one of his sessions went horribly wrong, Slatefluff getting dogpiled by a bunch of dark forest cats, killing him. To his clanmates, he looked like he just randomly died in his sleep. He was offered a spot in StarClan as he had a good heart, but he refused and became a Wandering Spirit instead, hating the idea of joining the cats who wronged him. He watches over his family, hoping that their luck will be better than his own.
