I have a friend who is a bee keeper, and he would take out a section of comb and hold it for me while I shot it. We had two sessions together and he was the only one who got stung...

Wow, I've never seen anything like this before.
It looks like it's covered in honey. Do you know if honey relates? Or is that something else?

I think it's the wax that's used to seal the larva in the comb after it spins a cocoon
