how do you get the colours so deep? it looks like ISO 50

I under expose a little -causes colors to saturate but it's different than boosting saturation in post.

I think a lot of the big name macro shooters would have a tough time competing against quite a few people in the amateur macro community -most of the pros rarely shot above 2x.

Well, IΒ΄m not an expert, but I like photography a lot, and IΒ΄m thinking about buying a Reflex camera. Macro photos are amazing, really eye catching, are yours are simply excellent.
I donΒ΄t understand what that "2x" means, heheh. Maybe twice the actual size of the subject?
