This is something I've been wanting to try for a while - a straight recreation (as opposed to the mash-up cover recreations I've done in the past) of the cover of one of the comics that helped change me into a comic fan as a kid.In this case, Badger #1 - a great 80s indy hero comic, and my first non Marvel/DC recreation (I think).
The original cover was created by Steve Rude and Jeff Butler, copyright Capital/First Comics

I remember reading a few of the Badger comics from a friend when I was a kid... I should pick up a collection of them sometime... I liked them, but never owned any.

I don't think there are any collections of the original series from Capital/First, but you can get copies of the original issues pretty cheaply still.
Issues 1-25 were some of my favorite comics of the 80s... so funny and good!

Actually IDW reprinted up to issue #23, then unfortunately stopped.

That'd be cool too... I think Harry had the Badger issues around the time that I bought my original TMNT graphic novels, before the cartoons and the color-coding. I remember thinking they were pretty hilarious.
