This is a cool and fun meme... there are certainly influences I'm forgetting, but this is off the tip of my tongue.Related content

I think it'd be a little bit different now... can't believe this was from 7 years ago!

Very cool. I can definitely see some of them in your art and personality.

This is certainly a coll and fun thing, as you say. What I like the most about it is that you included things outside of comics. I certainly feel influenced by movies, music, literature and life itself while drawing.

I REMEMBER that ad with Dr. J and Rick Barry! It was the first time I had seen REAL PEOPLE in a comic book (it was in a Star Wars comic book). I was trying to figure out how to find one, since those ads aren't always "advertised" today. Even begged my dad for a Spalding ball, which lasted until my Rick Barry shot cleared the backboard and was impaled on a Yucca cactus (I played in the desert).

Always remember to shoot your free throws under-handed like the Hall of Famer!

He made a lot that way! Shaq and some of the other big men with low FT% should've taken notes.

Also, looks like Jack Davis used the "Rick Barry w/wig" as a model for this, haha.
Barry now does hair-replacement radio commercials in the Bay Area...

Ouch. I remember my last NBA card of his...did seem to have a fuller head of hair a few years later in that comic.
Then again, so did Dr. J! He looks more like New York Nets Dr. J than Philly 76ers Dr. J.
