This is something I've been wanting to try for a while - a straight recreation (as opposed to the mash-up cover recreations I've done in the past) of the cover of one of the comics that helped change me into a comic fan as a kid.In this case, Incredible Hulk 248 - My first attempt at a Michael Golden - he's TOUGH!
The original cover was created by Michael Golden, copyright Marvel Comics.

This is great work sir! those Hulk/Defenders covers by Golden were worth the price of the comics alone. I fondly remember the single issue of Dr.Strange he worked on as well as the Avengers annual which introduced Rogue. Great memories of a guy who should have produced more work.

Yeah... he's one of those guys (like Arthur Adams, or Steranko), where they did such a sparse amount of amazing interiors that we raise what they *did* do to quasi-legendary status.Β I wonder if he'd done a lot more, if it would have dulled his shine a bit.

Whatever happened to that Guy? I LOVED his work on the Micronauts...........loved it! Never knew he drew the Hulk. Nicely done.

He still does stuff every once in a while, and commissions at cons.. the last regular thing I remember him doing was The 'Nam.Β He didn't do any Hulk interiors, but he would do random covers in the late 70s/early 80s... lots of Defenders covers, Dr. Strange, etc.
