This is part of an experimental set of sketch cards I'm doing - colored with painted acrylic, then inked with black ink on bristol board, 2.5" x 3.5"the Invincible Iron Man

with the exception of the already mentioned hand, I think it is a great rendition of the original Iron Man-the one I grew up with.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Luke McDonnell's shell-head from 1983-85, meself. He was a big influence on how I draw Iron Man even now.

The hand is out of proportion... its coming towards you so it should be bigger than his head. also the posture on it is really funny how far the thumb is bent back... the muscle anatomy is good though.

Yep, I goofed on the hand. My reference didn't have the hand coming towards the viewer (it was an odd pose) but I should have changed it here.
