That is an awesome skirt.

I'm curious...do you hand letter the text?

Skirt... you mean shirt?

Yeah, I'm hand lettering this one instead of doing it on the computer. I wanted a more 'organic' feel.

Now I wish I'd done the lettering in Illustrator just for the damned word balloon edges!

That's hilarious. It's so like me to make an error like that. An error like that one is what you get when you spend too much time drawing women.

I commend you on hand lettering your pages. There's not too many people who do it by hand anymore (including me) and even less who do it so well. Honestly, I had a hard time telling whether it was hand drawn or computerized, it looked that sharp. Only by comparing how the same letters on different words were drawn could I actually wonder whether it was computer lettering or not. There were very subtle differences between the same letters but nothing noticeable unless you stopped and looked.

Absolutely admirable.

Thank you, Zac - that's high praise. Personally, my hand lettering looks abominable to me, but eventually I'll get better. The thing is that I have zero patience for lettering, so I don't take my time.

One thing I was thinking of doing, which I've done before with an all-caps version, is make a font out of my hand lettering. But instead of all caps, using this newer upper/lower style I've been doing for the Zombie strip.

However, all the big word balloons done with the hand lettering save me a ton of time inking backgrounds!

Hee hee, I'm glad someone noticed the Doctor Blasphemy shirt! I ordered one of those from Rick Veitch the other day, and figured I'd throw it in here somewhere.

I was thinking of getting one myself a while back, now I think I will have to.

I loved Bratpack, Maximortal, and The One, I wish Rick would do more works in the vein.
