Here's another set of sketch cards, this time featuring Van Plexico's Sentinels . I've been working with Van doing illustrations for his Sentinels novels, and we've been talking about doing some trading cards for a companion set to the books.This is Vanguard, nigh-indestructible enemy of the Sentinels!

Kind of reminds me of two things. Klatu from The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Comrade X. Both very cool.

Thanks! This guy was one of my least favorite of the Sentinels universe characters to draw, because in the books he's completely featureless and shiny black. I had to throw in at least some seams for his joints, and some shiny spots.
