Description Here's another set of sketch cards, this time featuring Van Plexico's Sentinels . I've been working with Van doing illustrations for his Sentinels novels, and we've been talking about doing some trading cards for a companion set to the books.

This is the full, uncut sheet:

Ultraa, Warlord, Vanadium
Star Knight, Pulsar, Heavyweight
Anna Maldini, Francisco, Centurion

Sentinels is copyright 2010, Van Allen Plexico.

I like the definitive, forceful approach to your style, how obvious it is that you want to get your approach across; very cool.

When you say "uncut sheet", Does that mean all the original work was done on that sheet, or is this just the format before the cut?
Totally dig this piece!!!

The uncut sheet is a scan of the entire sheet of 9x12 bristol - for the most part, I don't even cut them up, I just trim them digitally in photoshop so I can pad my deviation total with individual 2.5x3.5 cards.

Thanks for all the faves!!

I have major respect for what you do. All that work on a single board truly makes it a peice of art. I'm not that good/confident so my inks are done digitally, basically cheating compared to what you do.
Keep up the good work can't wait to see more!!!

Thanks, man - digital art/inking is not cheating at all, it takes a much steadier hand than I have got. I've tried!

More of these to come...
