Exactly. . . but not exactly unexplained. It was because of his worst day, when he called her a mudblood. She wouldn't forgive him, when he called so many others mudblood.
Still, I wish with all my heart they had. They would have been the perfect couple.

Absolutely love this! Also, to comment on the James/Lily issue: many nice-esque girls date/marry/cohabit with dickfaces. I, too, wish she had ended up with Severus. But then, I really love the dude (however not-real he may be), and identify and sympathize more with him than any other character.

It's true...honestly, it's in a girl's genes to be attracted to and want to please a total ass. So I understand why she ended up with him, I just wish that in the book it had been elaborated upon a bit more. And I have quite the soft spot for Severus(he's my favorite character), so of course I wanted him to be happy. I'm so flattered that you like this, and shared your input on their relationship!

Alright. Now, then. When you said it was a "weird art night" I was excited, and you did not disappoint, m'am. This is so unlike your normal art style, and it's not an unwelcome change. I love how dramatic the shadows and lighting on their skin especially. Were it not a skilled artist like you it would look like a cheap photoshop filter but you have harnessed it and really, really made it work for you.
Plus, I cry. This is SAD and she shouldn't have been with James. Doucheface.

Thank you so much! I was afraid you would hate it...omg. It's like...my style, but with more exaggerated proportions and faces and weird. I had a lot of fun with the skin, but it had started out really as an experiment to see how it looked if I did the bolder lines. I'm glad it turned out well, because I have seen FAR too many crappy versions of that style of shading. I had a TON of fun with this, though. It was amazing.
Their relationship is so good for angsting...omg. James and Lily are not a good match at all.

They aren't. They really aren't. He's a douche and she's kind of a cunt, but she's not the kind of girl that usually goes for that. I don't buy the "he got better with age" because I can't see Sirius still being omg super close with him if he changed a lot. Whatever.
And no, I do not hate it, I kind of love it. I've seen far too many crappy versions too, but yours is just incredible.

Exactly. Sirius would grow distant from James if he changed for Lily. And he didn't grow distant, so obviously James stayed pretty much the same. He was probably still a jerk, just a really good dad as well.
