The base for this pose was actually a stick figure to start out!I got the inspiration from this video:

I usually watch drawing tutorials as like background noise for when I'm working on other stuff like animations or something to view when really bored, I never really participate and try them out, but this one was different, it was pretty interesting and really worked!
