theese bots knock down deserving artists off the list, when they do this sortta thing, regardless of wether you are for or against pageview bots, can you really sit there and say that this is completely fair?

TomPreston and humon are funny and all, but I think yuumei deserves more pageviews. She's a very talented artist, and actually deals with world issues (eg. shark-hunting, false glorification of humans). Furthermore, is creative with her "Knites" thing. Those really gain my respect for her. I think she should be way up there...

well im sure she has days when shes more popular, my main conern in this is the fact that Bots are using scripting and stuff to give themselves fake pageviews,and surpass the number of pageviews other deviants can get.

Wow, that sounds a bit like cheating. It also seems a bit self-defeating in a way, instead of actually getting new views you just create the illusion of it, therefore you may not actually be getting read (or viewed if you are a visual artist) anyway. Which kind of defeats the purpose of creating art in the first place, doesn't it?

Even if you use a bot...
a bot just automates something. But how can you automate something impossible?
You can only have 10 connections to DA at one point in time. So at best you can give 10 views per seconds with a bot. (and even if he had the best computer and a second internet connection)
he gives around 500 views per second... O_O It's impossible to do by himself... unless he's running a virus network and sent the bot to his infected pcs (all around the world) which would mean that he has 60+ pcs infected with a rat virus... ... ...
basically... he's doing something that defies logic. And it annoys me because the only way to do that is by having 60+ internet connections... there's just no other way around it... bot or not...
